The week of my wedding, I realized i couldn't use the 3 make up artists i booked with another company bc they refused to show proof of vaccination or a negative covid test. Panicked, my mom and I called all the local salons in great neck. When i tried Airbar Blow Dry Bar, I was lucky enough to get the owner Jessica, who immediately put me at ease. She could tell i was in a super stressful situation and told me that by the end of the day, she'd sort out my need for make up artists for my wedding. That very same evening Jessica got back to me with 2 incredible make up artists, Stephanie and Breiana, both of whom were willing to comply with the covid restrictions imposed by my wedding venue. The paperwork to reserve the artists was extremely reasonable and easy to follow. I was able to fill it out and pay my deposit the next day. In addition, Jessica reserved these artists for the entire morning so they were able to travel to the venue where i was getting ready. I can't say enough about the actual work these artists did. I have never felt more beautiful. I showed Stephanie and inspiration photo which she followed to a T. Stephanie and Breiana both did my bridesmaids as well who looked flawless. My make up lasted all day. I will absolutely be back in the salon to have either of these artists do my make up. If you are planning a wedding, I'd definitely book these women ASAP.

Once upon a time, this location used to be the Steven Robert Salon, which, when it opened was quite…read morethe happening scene. I'm totally dating myself by saying that because I got my hair done for my Bat Mitzvah there...well over a decade ago. Anyway, my hair is in a perpetual state of mess- it's long, thin, dry, frizzy, and disgusting to say the least, so when it comes to things like a simple blowout, I get nervous. Not wanting to spend your standard $40-60 on such a simple procedure, my mom recommended I go to Le Salon. She went a few months ago to get her hair done for a wedding and loved the results at the beautiful price of...$25! The morning of my graduation party I already stubbornly made an appointment for a blowout at a different salon, but when my mom recommended this one, I dialed immediately. George, the owner, answered and he was very accommodating for my last minute needs. I walked in to the same salon I frequented years ago and everything looked the same (it was always a nice place, and it still is), except upstairs is a boutique (I didn't check it out so I can't comment on it, but it seems they have some nice handbags up there). After getting shampooed, Gladys did my hair. I told her my long list of hair problems and showed her a few pictures of blowouts in the past that I liked to give her an idea of what I wanted. She was friendly and maintained conversation with me the whole time. I felt like I got the most thorough hair analysis ever. She has an incredible eye for detail, works her brush and blowdryer magically, and gave me so many recommendations on hair treatment and upkeep I ended up making a list for myself to stay on track with my haircare maintenance. Like I preivously mentioned, my hair is a disaster. Because it's so thin, blowouts never look "full" enough. Not this time. My hair looked...luxurious. Seriously, I haven't seen body like that in years. I'd also like to point out that the salon wasn't busy at all when I was there and Gladys spent an entire hour with me talking, giving suggestions, and even doing a mini photo shoot! Great place, I'll definitely be back next time I'm in town and in need of a good hairdo.

This was my first visit to Reflections and it won't be my last. A close friend referred this salon,…read moreso I already went there with a general good opinion of the place. As soon as I walked in I was greeted, seated and even offered coffee! When you tell a business customer service is your focus, Reflections is the paragon. I've been to salons on the upper east side they have never greeted me this way. Customer service is not their only strong suit they have a full team of very talented and passionate hair stylist. I had the pleasure of getting an appointment with Peter. My main reason for the visit was to color over my highlights. I had crazy highlights all over the place. Please see pictures attached. I didn't want to have them toned or corrective, I only wanted to recolor over everything and go back to my natural color as possible. Now this is the good part. I have never met someone who can look at the color of hair and know the dye. Peter looked at my roots for a few seconds and came back out and was ready to dye my hair. I felt a little nervous, but when I saw how the color came out I knew I shouldn't have worried in the first place. I also wanted a little trim, so my hair could feel completely fresh and renewed. Peter's skills are not only colorist but also cutting. My hair has never been cut so neat! I even requested to keep mindfully of the length because I'm trying to grow out my hair and he did everything he could to keep my length and make sure my ends where healthy for my hair to grow. I already recommended serval family member to check out reflections and experience this one of a kind salon. Here are some lights for those that don't want to ready my essay above. 1. EXCELLENT customer service (You'll feel like a Queen) 2. PUNCTUAL! I had an appointment and was seen on the dot. 3. Coloring - you can trust their judgment and the chemicals isn't as harsh as most places 4. Haircut- The neatest and cleanest cut I've ever experienced. My hair was very uneven and Peter FIXED it!
