UPDATE: I love this salon so much. From the uplifting music, bright smiles, great prices and quality! I've been coming to this salon for 3 years now and I'm in LOVE! Every hair stylist does a great job I recommend everyone here. I went in to get a normal haircut yesterday and I showed Sanon the style I wanted on my phone. He said "thats a beautiful style for you! Did you want to go with the color also?" I said.." Sure!! Why not?" I wanted to try something fun! He gave me highlights and low lights and I couldn't be more happy!! He was so nice and helpful. The manager even came over and checked on my hair to make sure the process was going well. I love love love this salon! I won't go anywhere else OLD POST: This place is great! Fantastic and friendly team :) My boyfriend and I walked in at 11am on Sunday and didn't have an appointment. They had a stylist call out sick that day and we're really busy. They asked us to come back at 2pm so we did. They took us in a few minutes after we came back in. This place is clean and very reasonably priced. I paid $25 for shampoo, cut and blow dry and she even straightened my hair for me too since it's a little wavy and my boyfriend's haircut was $19. We were both out within an hour. I came in with faded auburn hair and asked to go super blonde basically almost platinum. I explained my hair can pull a pretty light blonde pretty quickly me being dirty blonde naturally. Anyways, the lady ended up taking a little over 4 hours. I felt like she was being so slow for what I asked her to do. The outcome came out horrible! Somehow I ended up with silver/ Lilac streaks instead of even blonde all over. My regrowth and the faded auburn was still visible! Definitely won't be going back. I've seen Rochelle twice now and she is the absolute best. I love her!!! She really listen to me and helped me with correcting the color of my hair. She also helped me make decisions on growing out a bad hair cut and how to fix it. I've already got my next appointment and can't wait to see her in the future. Everyone there is great. This place was a major disappointment. Don't waste your money or time here. I went in for a perm, my first in over 30 years, I brought in 3 pictures of what I wanted (first 3), and she looked at them, acknowledged them, and even said that the one was really nice and then proceeded to do whatever she wanted. The result of the perm she gave is the last 2 pictures, clearly the total opposite of what I wanted. My hair is horrendous, and nothing but a head full of frizz, little tight curls that I didn't want, and it's disgusting. If she couldn't do what I asked, then she should have said, and I would have went on my merry way, but instead, she did what she wanted and destroyed my hair. I paid her and even tipped her because it was the right thing to do. I didn't say at the salon what a disaster this was because I didn't want to make a scene. Besides the destruction of my hair, they weren't very friendly. I felt very unwelcome there. Hopefully, I can find a place that can fix the damage that she has done to my hair by this terrible place. First time visiting this Salon, new to the area. Tara was my stylist (20 years experience) and she did a full highlight and trim. The color is perfect and exactly what I asked for (bright at the edge of of platinum). She is so warm and welcoming and I genuinely had a great time in her chair for a little over 2 hours. I have gone to Hair Works 2 times so far and going back for a third time. I met with Sinan and he listened to what I wanted and the color blend he was using on me was awesome. Really did not like the way I fault when I went in the door the lady that greeted me was ok but she went to the back she said the other stylist would be out to get me the other stylist came out the back room and took one look at me and I guess decided that I wasn't someone she wanted on her clientele base and made up excuses why she couldn't take me that's fine I figure I have more money then she would ever have the thing is in hospitality you should never judge a book by it's cover read more

My son got a terrible haircut at another nearby salon. I decided to check out Hair Works and see if they could do something with it. An absolute miracle. The stylist fixed what I thought was the un-fixable. I think her name was Natasha (blonde hair with glasses). I was so impressed with her skills, especially considering how much my little boy was really uncooperative that day (sorry!) and was constantly moving. She was so understanding and patient. I made an appointment for an updo for my daughter for a special event. The time of the appointment allowed time for completion of the up do, drive home and time for make up application and getting dressed. We arrived 10 minutes early. We waited. The time for our appointment came. We waited 10 minutes because I know schedules are tentative. We waited 15 more minutes. We are now 25 minutes passed the time of our appointment. For a self conscious teenager worried about getting ready for an event that is a very long time. I Approached the desk and asked if we could have one of the available stylist. I was quickly dismissed and told they would be with me later. We wait another 10 minutes. Now, 35 minutes past our appointment and ask if ANY of the open stylist could see my daughter. We were told 'no'. To wAit our turn. Even though we did not care who she saw we were told we could not go to the open providers even though they did not have pending appointments. My first appt here was this past Saturday with Amanda R for an ombre color and a trim. She did an amazing job! She matched the blending of 3 different colors from a Pinterest picture to what suited my hair and she was very detail oriented. She tamed my mane and it feels lighter and healthier. The vibe of this salon is also deserving of 5 stars. Everyone was friendly and working as a team. Nothing felt tense or chaotic like some salons on a Saturday can feel. I have thick, slightly wavy (type 2B?) medium length hair that I am trying to grow out from a previous lob. The stylist cut my hair straight across the bottom without adding any blending, layers, texture, etc. resulting in no style. I have not had a cut like this since I was 12 and it does not work well for my hair type. I will not be returning. read more

I've had my hair cut here before but when I went back there was a new guy I hadn't seen there before. He's tall, 40 ish, with a full red beard and red hair. I was paired with him as a walk in. Lately, I've been frustrated with the length of my hair and had taken to just putting it up in a bun. So when he took my bun down my curly hair was just this huge fluff ball. I was finally at that point when I just needed a Fresh look. This guy was so unfriendly and unwelcoming and I don't know why. This was my conversation. Him: so what kind of cut do you want? Me: I'm not sure, do you have any recommendations? Him: whatever the customer wants. Me: well, my friend suggests I layer it. Him: how many layers do you want? Me: I don't know. Is there a style that you like to cut for women with my length? Him: a buzz cut Me: seriously? Him: yeah, that's what I prefer to cut. Me: maybe I should try someone else Him: maybe you should. After a bad experience at a chain salon in town, I went to Hair Works to save my haircut and they were wonderful! The facility is open and very clean and the staff is friendly and professional. Pricing was comprable to other salons in the area and I walked out feeling like it was totally worth it. I would absolutely recommend them and I will certainly be a returning customer! read more

Rochelle is amazing! I've been going to see her now for about 2 years and I'm always happy with her work. She actually does such a great job on my hair that my husband and son also go to her now along with my mother who has to drive over 2 hours to get there! The salon is always clean and everyone is very friendly and professional. The salon is following all mandated safety precautions for COVID-19 since all the staff are wearing masks, all customers wear masks and only customers in the stylist chair are allowed inside. I was so happy to see great ratings for a salon close to home so I made an appointment, but was sorely disappointed. I will agree with other reviewers that the staff is friendly, the salon is clean, and I did enjoy the contemporary Christian music. However, the hair service I received left much to be desired. First, even though they advertise walk ins welcome, I made sure to make an appointment by phone, especially since it was on a Saturday. When I arrived I was told my stylist was not in yet. She arrived a few minutes after my appointment time. Not excessively late, but it makes a bad first impression as a first time client. I asked for full highlights (I already had highlights, but needed the roots touched up and new toner applied) and cut. I have had my hair highlighted for several years, so I'm familiar with the process. Once the foils were applied, I sat in the stylist' s chair, no heat or dryer. I thought it was odd but didn't want to question the salon's practices. Then when applying toner, which was an extra $30 on top of the highlights cost, it was applied and immediately washed out. When I've had toner in the past, it's been applied and sat for at least 10 mins. The cut that followed was ok, but doesn't look any different than what I came in with. I asked for layers and side bang. Neither seem to be in the cut. Upon leaving the salon I didn't want to pass judgement until I was able to go home and look under my regular lighting. I'm used to my hair being straight ironed and styled at the salon. Here is was only blow dried, so I thought I might like it better when I could style it further. At home, when I got a better look, I must say this is the worst highlights I've ever received. My roots are still showing, the coverage is choppy and the color is more gray than blonde. At 35, gray hair is not the look I was trying to achieve. I will now have to go to another salon and pay more money to have the color fixed. Very disappointing salon trip and I definitely would not recommend the salon. read more
