No one will ever cut your hair like Doug. He doesn't just cut your hair, he molds it to your face. He has good insight on what is currently trendy and stylish with both men and women's hairstyles. If you decide to get a full hair shampoo and wash, cut, and style, you will be more than satisfied with the job he has done. However, you might walk out of there thinking, "It doesn't look as good as I thought it would..." To that I say, give it a couple days. Doug doesn't just cut your hair and style it to look good for that day, he molds your hair to look good as it grows out. Not only that, he will teach you how to style that way so you have "salon looking" hair everyday. It has been one month since I had the microblading & shading combo on my eyebrows. I am beyond…read morethrilled that I had this done at Vivo. I had very little or my original eyebrows left and I've been drawing them on for several years. I spent a month researching 6 places, including reading reviews, calling the locations and talking to them and doing general internet research on the process. I know this is semi-permanent, so I wasn't going to trust my face to either a process or a place I didn't trust. Prices were all within 5%, so cost was not part of my decision. I wanted to make sure I understood how much experience the person had with doing the process. After spending 15 minutes with Vi for my free consultation - I knew she was my choice. Both during the consultation and at the actual appointment, Vi spent time explaining the procedure she would perform as well as what to expect for recovery. The initial process took 2 hours and started with the application of a topical numbing cream. As the cream did its job, she then drew several options on - asking me which I preferred, then tweaking it and asking and tweaking until we had the right shape for my face. She listened to what I was looking for and we discussed color/how dark. She kept making sure I was comfortable and kept asking if I had any questions. Now time for the procedure itself. We started with the shading which is similar to having a permanent tattoo. It hurt a tiny bit more than I was expecting, but not so much that I had her stop at any point. After the shading, then she did the manual micro-blading strokes (which hurt less for me). I let her take pictures before, throughout and after the process. She sent me the pictures by the time I arrived at home! The area around the brows was a little red and the brows DARK - but I was able to go out in public that evening. WOW - my eyebrows are gorgeous. They are a better shape than I was drawing on myself all these years. I swear I look 10 years younger. I also find that I'm wearing less eye shadow than I previously did. I've been showing them off to my friends - and every person couldn't tell until I pointed it out to them. That is how natural they look! RECOVERY - you need to follow the after procedure instructions. Granted - since I followed them 95% I don't know what would really have happened if I hadn't. For the first 5-7 days, you apply a clear cream to help with healing (same as if you got a permanent tattoo). You don't get them wet either - so that was tough for me (no showers for 4-5 days). Dry shampoo only hid my oily/dirty hair so much - so I wore my shoulder length hair up in a clip. I did shower on day 5, but I put an extra thick layer of the cream on my brows and tried super hard not to let much water get on them. As they heal in the first 10-14 days, they will ITCH and you need to avoid touching them - particularly as minor scabs form and flake off. That sounds gross and noticeable - but it wasn't. Also, as described, my eyebrows were definitely darker in those first 10-14 days until all the "scabs" fell off. After 6 weeks (2 more to go), I will return for touch-up (included in the price). I totally recommend Vivo Day Spa if you want this procedure. FYI - they offer a lot of other spa services and I plan to check out both the facials and the massages in the very near future.

I should have reviewed the order before I left the store (my fault). I went home and opened my package to find that I was missing an 8x10 and that my 4x4 picture had been printed as an 8x10. I had to drive back. When I explained the situation to the clerk her only response was "we just print them as the order comes through". Ok...I get that...but I'm explaining that it was wrong. She ultimately printed the 4x4 that I needed, but we were unable to locate the 8x10 that I was missing from my order. She did not refund me for the 8x10 (even though I paid for it) and only said that we were "even" for the 4x4 that she printed for me. Last year I had my picture Christmas cards printed at the same location and I was disappointed by the quality and the fact that they were slightly "off" when they were cropped. I should have known better.

I bought the Groupon for the haircut and partial highlights. When I got there Angela was finishing up some formal styles but got me in at the time that I made my appointment for. We talked about what I wanted to do -- even more surprising, she understood what I wanted! I'm so used to stylists not caring or understanding what I want to do with my hair. She got my foils in and let me hang out while she did some other haircuts. I watched her with kids and was amazed. She did a great job even though the kids were squirming the whole time! After we got my foils out she started on my hair. I do have short hair, but want to grow it out. She did a great job trimming and making sure that nothing was uneven, then she talked to me about what she plans to do next time I come back so we can make sure my hair grows naturally and doesn't look like a helmet of hair. Overall I was pleased with the service. The other reviewers are right -- this place isn't much on the outside but it is very spacious inside.
