Heather made me feel totally comfortable, she went over exactly what I wanted with me and nailed it spot on, in a quick friendly manner. Even the single blade she used to clean me up was perfectly executed. The mint lavender shampoo she recommended for my thick course hair is incredibly refreshing, really enjoyed everything over all.

I called after purchasing the Groupon and she was able to fit me in the next day, she asked about the length and thickness of my hair and said we could assess tomorrow if there would be any additional charge to the $60 Groupon value. I arrived on time for my appointment and was seated 10-15 minutes after my appointment time. My $60 valued Groupon included a "Women's Haircut, Deep Conditioning Protein Treatment, and Blow-Dry". Heather saw my hair and said nothing. She shampooed my hair and conditioned it, letting the conditioner sit in as I sat under a hair drier for 10 minutes. She than started cutting my hair, I informed her I did not want anything other than a trim, no style, no layers, framing or bangs. The trim took 15 minutes. She than blew out my hair using a wand brush. My hair is long (as seen in my profile photos) and medium thickness. The blow out took about 20 minutes. I was satisfied with everything, taking a 45 minutes of my time and she did what I asked (trimmed it to look straight on the bottom) and I got a blow out. I went to pay with my Groupon and she said because of "my hair" she needed to charge an extra $10. I've never colored my hair or had highlights, etc. so a $70 haircut is something I've never experienced, but in my mind it would be much more extravagant than what I'd just experienced. Needless to say, I was looking forward to experiencing a haircut from Basil's, but I won't be returning.
