The hours were good. The outcome was okay. But for those concerned about masking which my rating was primarily based on, there was no masking. I wore my mask but no other customer or employee did. This is a personal concern to me and maybe to others. If it wasn't for the masking concern, I would probably become a returning customer. read more

It's always a pleasure coming into this shop. I've been here for almost a year now and David is the man! I think $14 for a haircut is very reasonable. David is the man to go to if you're looking to keep up with modern hairstyles. The shop is clean and always kept that way. If you're a big fan of the Price Is Right, Deal or No Deal and Family Feud, you're in a for a big treat! Almost all the time I'm here, either one of those shows are being shown on the tv's. Was visiting my family in Queens for the holidays. I scoured Yelp for a professional who was affordable. Hair Studio 41 popped up. I called them, they said right now they weren't too busy - I came down and had a gentleman (forgot his name, but was a nice guy) cut my hair. I showed him a pic of how I wanted my hair to be - I don't like the super thin sides and small top, or whatever's in fashion - I wanted to make that clear. He saw, obliged, and I left a happy customer. Nice old school, neighborhood barber vibe. The dog though, he's got some beef with the neighboring store owner! I took my son to Hair Studio 41 for his "getting ready for school" haircut and decided to get a cut myself. When we arrived Mark had a customer in his chair, as did the other barber Angelo. So while we waited we watched them give other customers detailed cuts. Both Mark and Angelo were focused on their customers and how they wanted their hair. My son is only 8 and Mark gave him the very same professional attention and detail. He was happy with the cut Mark gave him (and the candy he gave him afterwards). I was similarly happy with the Elvis Presley haircut Angelo gave me. The shop is newly renovated, clean, a masculine atmosphere, and small town friendly. The overall cost was not cheap, however it was much less than the chain cutters in this town. I highly recommend both Mark and Angelo as I will be back as soon as we need haircuts again! read more

These guys are great. I have been going here for about 5 years and I recently brought my 1 year old son for his 1st haircut and they were fantastic. I've been having my hair cut by Mark at Studio 41 for over 25 years and have never been disappointed. Mark is an excellent barber and gives the best hot towel shaves. In a pinch while traveling I've tried other barbers but none compare. Ultimately, if I've had my hair cut someplace else I have to stop in at Studio 41 to have them fix it. I was born and raised in Queens and 3 years ago moved upstate near Albany but still come to Studio 41 regularly to have Mark cut my hair and get a hot towel shave. He's truly the best. read more
