I was shocked at how little he charged me- about half what I would have paid anywhere else. However, after I've washed it myself and tried to style it, I have come to realize that it was a pretty poor cut overall. I'm not going to mention the hairdresser's name that is doing it now here - as the salon that I was seeing for 6 years that was turning my hair purple from the toner still likes to stalk my yelp profile 1.5 years later - but what I will say is: ask for the hairdresser there that knows how to do blondes. They will know who you're talking about - as she's been doing blondes for 16 years and knows EXACTLY how to get the blonde you desire without the purple from toner left in too long and overlapped ...or burning your scalp so that you're pussing from the scalp. Hopefully my luck continues with this salon and particular hairdresser-as she does a wonderful job.

Mary reached out to me beforehand to ask about styles and talk over the inspiration shots we sent. My daughter wanted a "cool" haircut, and I didn't want her to look too old just yet - Xandria talked to both of us, assessed her (long, curly) hair as it is and asked about how she wanted to move forward with styling and caring for her hair. Then she did a cut that balanced exactly what we both wanted and works perfectly for her hair type. She's happy with the bouncy layers that make her feel more grownup and she looks beautiful in an age-appropriate way, phew!
