Haircuts are a great source of stress for me. Don't know why, but they are stressful. Salina takes…read moreall the stress out of a haircut for me. First the salon itself is tastefully decorated. The interior has a calming effect on me. The furniture is comfy and relaxing. Salina is the only one who has cut and colored my hair. She always does a great job especially since I never know what I want. I can give her a general idea of what I want to do with my hair and she lets her creativeness take over. I had stopped coloring my hair years ago because the color always came out the same. Ronald McDonald Red. Red is my favorite color but I don't like it as my hair color. The first time I had her color my hair I told her that I do not like RED on my hair and she made sure my color does not have even a hint of red in it. She won my confidence and my business. My husband also goes in for haircuts at Salina's. Always comes out with a great cut. He had tried other salons, without success for a good cut. There are 2 others that work with Salina and they have all cut my husband's hair at some time. All have done an excellent job. Prices are affordable and less than the prices I was paying in Albuquerque. Another plus! Call for an appointment. I try to call and make an appointment in advance but dh always waits until the last minute. Salina's Hot Spot has always made the effort to get him in the day he calls. The salon offers other services as well. When I take advantage of those things I will add to this review!

Okay, so I had purchased this as a Groupon and I was decently impressed. The place is modern, and…read morepretty clean inside. The people who work there are absolutely amazing. The girls do whatever it takes to make you have a pleasant and relaxing day. I don't know if they hear it often, but they provide superb customer service. The pros of this place include the mineral pool, hot tub, and dry sauna. They are wonderful to relax. The hot chocolate and biscotti are also great. My massage and foot treatment were also pretty good. However, the cons included a broken steam room (I think for what I paid I should have gotten a credit because I mainly purchased this to use the steam room), the appointment times got messed up because the masseuse was running late, and lastly the girl who gave my facial had a bad case of the sniffles (head cold). The poor girl should have been at home that day especially because she is in direct contact with people faces, but I guess everyone has to make a living. Overall, this is a nice place to have a day at the spa. However, make sure the steam room is working so you can get the full bang for your buck . Again I must commend the staff! They are amazing, and they were very apologetic for the schedule mess up. Check this place out, and I think you will be satisfied!
