They are friendly and make sure that you are well taken care of during your visit checking to make sure no ingrown hairs are left behind. I would normally rate this 5-stars if I only went to these two ladies. However, on my last visit, I was stuck with a new girl (a redhead, younger) that I had never seen before. I don't recall her name, but to call her a novice is accurate. Perhaps more training or apprenticeship is required for sugaring for her, but this was very uncomfortable. The amount of pulling, too hot sugar, and left behind hairs wasn't worth the cost. No clean-up provided and it was just all around awkward. The other issue is with re-booking. From a business standpoint, wouldn't you want your receptionist trained upon checking out a client to re-book the client for their next session. This never happens and I am always the one to initiate the re-booking. Due to this, I haven't gone back since August. A bad sugaring and no re-booking bothered me. I do love this business, just not all the time. Last year at Christmas time, each regular client got a mug which was a wonderful token for clients. If you go, see who you are scheduled with before you make the appointment.

The front desk did a refund to my account and took our numbers so she could do the service the following day. We'll never heard back and I called the salon on Saturday during business hours and no answer. I have never heard back from anyone there. Unprofessional and just very poor customer service. I definitely do not recommend and would not go back. The overall quality of the experience was poor!

Haircuts are a great source of stress for me. Don't know why, but they are stressful. Salina takes…read moreall the stress out of a haircut for me. First the salon itself is tastefully decorated. The interior has a calming effect on me. The furniture is comfy and relaxing. Salina is the only one who has cut and colored my hair. She always does a great job especially since I never know what I want. I can give her a general idea of what I want to do with my hair and she lets her creativeness take over. I had stopped coloring my hair years ago because the color always came out the same. Ronald McDonald Red. Red is my favorite color but I don't like it as my hair color. The first time I had her color my hair I told her that I do not like RED on my hair and she made sure my color does not have even a hint of red in it. She won my confidence and my business. My husband also goes in for haircuts at Salina's. Always comes out with a great cut. He had tried other salons, without success for a good cut. There are 2 others that work with Salina and they have all cut my husband's hair at some time. All have done an excellent job. Prices are affordable and less than the prices I was paying in Albuquerque. Another plus! Call for an appointment. I try to call and make an appointment in advance but dh always waits until the last minute. Salina's Hot Spot has always made the effort to get him in the day he calls. The salon offers other services as well. When I take advantage of those things I will add to this review!
