This salon has a great atmosphere, and mostly friendly stylists with the exception of the one stylist this client was unfortunately sent to. The stylist who completed this look confidently sent him out the door with a harsh crooked wavy line all the way around his head. When we went back to ask for the cut to be corrected the stylist explained that the result of the cut was due to his fine hair and not due to her skill level. This is by far the worst haircut he has ever received and this was the first time in his life he has ever had to ask for a haircut to be fixed. We are very grateful for the stylist Allyssa who thankfully understood the issue and cleaned it up the best she could with what little hair was left. read more

Christine was awesome! She was extremely friendly and gave me a great haircut! I will definitely go back to see her whenever I need another haircut. I would have given 5 stars but the two staff members checking people in had no clue whatsoever what they were doing and the guy didn't even seem to care about that. It took almost 10 minutes to just get checked in! I went back a week later to exchange something, and it was the exact same thing! The managers should be making sure that at least one person besides themselves knows how to fully operate the POS register. Otherwise, customers could end up getting frustrated and walk out. My husband and I were visiting St. Augustine and needed haircut.... We got the worst haircut we've ever had. I asked the girl who cut my hair, for a trim. We decided to take no more than a half an inch off. Well, this woman cut ALL BUT, a half inch off. There was another lady who swept the floor after my cut and exclaimed...look at all these curls! Yep, she cut off all my curls, except for the Mohawk of curls on top. I'm so sad and mad. The only way to fix this is to cut more off. My husband's hair was cut by a woman who was just out of school. Made an appointment on line yesterday for a hair cut today. I was happy that they had one available at 9:00am I got up early and drove 30 minutes to this location because I really needed a haircut and every salon anywhere near me is booked for weeks out and I just found out I have an event this weekend I need to attend. I didn't get that, all I got was a sorry can't help you. Maybe at 10:30 we can get you in. Well I didn't drive 30 min at 8:30am on a Sunday morning to hang out in a parking lot for an hour and a half for a "maybe" haircut appointment. Whoever is in charge of the online schedule really needs to do better. When an employee quits they should be removed immediately and anyone with an appointment already on schedule should be notified. Came in for a shampoo and cut. Stylist savnnah never shampooed but I didn't wanna complain. She never showed me my undercut in a mirror but I didn't want to complain. I paid $30.00 including tip and Savannah knicked my head and now I have noticed a bald spot when i looked in mirror at home. Ontop of this my birthday tomorrow I will be outside all day and am too embarrassed to wear a pony tail!!! Savannah was very very rude to me when I called chucking to herself and making very sarcastic noises under her breath when I told her about the spot. In addition to her laughs and sarcasm she insisted this is a scar and won't do ANYTHING to make me even a little happy. I will never return as long as the stylists are going to act like this. Probably the worst place to get your hair colored. We spent $186.00 to get my daughter's hair colored. It washed out 4 days later. We called and went back and were told "oh well, go next door to Sally's Beauty supply and fix it yourself it is not our problem" I wasn't expecting a free coloring but at least fix your mistake. If I wanted a washout color I would have bought the Halloween spray in color and saved myself $180.00. Don't waste your time or money at this location. It was a blessing having someone who is good with curly hair because they know how it behaves. I got the prefect hair cut for half the cost of a salon. If you know exactly the cut and style you want Hair Cuttery is a great option. Don't be afraid to ask questions either. I always get the same long layered cut then in two weeks I'm unhappy with it. I made an appointment over the phone for a blowout for a wedding I was attending. Over the phone, we were told it would $28. When I arrived, my stylist (Sorina) did not smile or engage with me. I went back to get washed, she commented on how much hair I have (this was never asked on the phone) and she asked "do you use well or city water?" I'm not sure what bearing that has on performing a simple blowout. She used cold water to wash my hair, and never asked me if I was comfortable as a visibly pregnant woman. When we got back to her chair, she started to brush my hair with a comb (remind you I have thick hair past my shoulders which she just washed). Again, never smiled or engaged with me. She decided to blurt out "this blowout will not be $28 it will be $50 now." I found that to be ridiculous as I could have gone to a real salon within walking of my hotel in downtown, but didn't want to pay that price. They get 2 stars since they decided to charge $37.50 instead. Transparency is the required when paying for a service. Thickness and length of hair should be asked if they want to be honest in their pricing. My hair turned out decent, but nothing like my salon back in Philadelphia which charges $35 and does it much faster. Sorina would not have a repeat client if I lived in the area. She was truly miserable the entire hour I was with her. read more
