I came in with ZERO layers with the shortest angles below my chin and left with uneven, haphazard, choppy layers throughout my hair and the shortest hair now falling to my lip even though I stated numerous times I did NOT want layers at all and don't want to go shorter. After she continued to cut, Sarah laughed at me and said "idk girl" and said she wouldn't charge me. She's not a typical stylist who will just do anything because you're willing to pay. She cares for the health of our hair. I was very surprised to see a previous review saying that a "Keratin treatments" was done to their hair at this salon due to the fact that they do not do this treatment at all. Melissa has flat out told me "No" to this process and that she does not recommend it for my hair. Also, Keratin treatments are NOT known to be in Dominican Hair Salons but more so at Brazilian hair salons. After all the damage caused to our hair during the summer months due to the sun, pool and beach I can always come back to this Salon and know that Melissa will bring life back to it. I've been to plenty of great Dominican hair salons in the metropolitan area but I love the care and treatment I get at Melissa's hair salon.

Loretta listens to what you want and makes great suggestions to make sure you are truly happy with your hair at the end of the session. She always makes you feel at home from the moment you arrive to when you leave. Last time she fed me tons of delicious cookies and we talked like we were old friends gabbing away while she was doing my hair :) My husband's aunt is a hair stylist herself and is always so critical of other people's work but when I sent her pictures of my hair she says "You gotta keep her! She's fantastic!" I've only seen her twice but both times were a great experiences. Her talent and great customer service is what will keep me returning when I want to change up my hair :)
