I booked an appointment well in advance for my mother to get her hair colored and styled for a special occasion. We were both really looking forward to it, hoping for a bit of pampering and a confidence boost. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that things were not going to go smoothly. The salon was chaotic, with stylists rushing around and clients crammed into every available space. Despite having a scheduled appointment, we were left waiting for an unacceptable amount of time. Then came the real insult. After nearly an hour of waiting, we were informed that, due to some "unforeseen circumstances" (which sounded suspiciously like overbooking), they would not be able to color and style my mother's hair after all. Let me repeat that: they couldn't do the service we had booked and waited for. No apologies, no attempt to reschedule, and certainly no offer of compensation for our wasted time and ruined plans. My mother was incredibly upset, and frankly, so was I. Uptown Salon's complete disregard for their clients' time and appointments is appalling. Their lack of professionalism and basic customer service is beyond belief. If you value your time and want to avoid disappointment, I strongly advise you to take your business elsewhere. This salon is quite a scheduling disaster.

I had a girl named Alexandria student who did my eyelashes, she stabbed me in the eye cut it with extremely sharp blade tweezers, because she had glided my eye shut with the bonding agent, toook hours to complete. the instructor had the nerve to say "tell her she did a good job" well done at destroying my eye and not completing the task. 11 hours at this place. Tortured by the eyes for 8.5 hours, come find out that was her first time doing it. Sorry but that can't be acceptable. That's my eyes that are at risk with chemicals and sharp blade. I honestly wouldn't pay a dime for that nor would I for free! I was thinking I was going to get someone who has done it a bunch of times on classmates and dolls , that then she had advanced to live clients. Wow that's legit scary that this school is doing this! Yesterday was my second visit to Champions, my first visit I asked to only take about 3 inches off (some stylists get cut happy) and that's exactly what Lyndsey took off. I knew at that point she listened to what her clients want. So yesterday when I went back for highlight touch up and cut, I asked for 8 inches to be cut off, Lyndsey took the time to explain that cutting off 8 inches and then cutting it in the style I wanted it would be more than 8". This place is amazing in the way in which take the time with their clients to listen to what it is that they want.
