Awesome experience at Ciao Bella! I love the location and the 1:1 attention from Mary. Unlike big salons, Mary took care of me from start to finish without rushing or trying to handle multiple clients at the same time (which has happened to me many times). She listened to my needs and wants and worked with me to figure out what was best for my hair. She asked thoughtful questions and actually listened to what I wanted. I moved to California a little more than 8 years ago and did not know anyone in the area. I was in need of my routine root highlights and wanted to get it done before I started my new job a few days later. In a hurry and desperate to have it done quick, I went to the nearest salon by my house and the lady ended up turning my roots a very bright and hideous orange color. Needless to say I did not want to leave my house much less start a new job looking the way I did. Lucky for me I found Mary on yelp. She got me in the next day and did a phenomenal job on fixing my hair. She was the only person I went to after that... even when I moved two and a half hours away. Mary was not only my fabulous hair lady, she also became my friend. I cannot recommend Mary enough! If I had the money to fly to Texas every 6-8weeks just for her to do my root touch ups, I'd be there without fail. Where to begin. Mary Taormina was my hairdresser for a few years in California and she was awesome. My previous hairdresser kept cutting the back of my hair, Mary would just cut the dead ends and my hair actually grew which I thought it never would and I loved it. She listens to what you want but she will hesitate when it comes to cutting bangs, she won't cut them too short. If for some reason you are not happy, call her and she will fix it. Mary takes pride in making you look good and listens to everything you say and will confirm what you want before she cuts. Mary continues to read up on hair care and will ask if you are willing to try something new if she thinks it will benefit you. Mary has tried a few things out on me and I trusted her and I was never disappointed. Not only is Mary awesome with hair but she is very personable. I could not imagine having to talk to so many people every day and remember tidbits about their life and be happy chatting. I really appreciate the personal touch with my hair and my life.
