So last minute urge to get a haircut... but where should I go? I didn't want to go to famous Sam's as it was a basic service,I received there last time:/ so let's go to Yelp :) I found Hairbizz.. 3 min from my house in my neighborhood! Let the adventure begin!! I walk into what looks like a dental office from the outside:) a woman greets me at the desk and a nice man... I say I'm a walk in! They tried to get me in with one of the several people in the salon (they were so nice!) the man says can you come back and gives me a list of open times. Sure I can... so I take a 2 o'clock with Amy... as I leave I remember this salon had a 1 star review ... let me look... oh no it's with Amy!!!! I start sweating a bit but hey, I'm committed at this point! So I arrive at 1:50 and Amy comes to get me soon after! Now Amy seems happy and gets me in the chair and we discuss my hair plans (bonus points) she listened and cut my haircut perfectly. Amy also has curly hair and she understood my want to wear it straight sometimes too. She was kind and had a great vibe! I advised her of the bad review and we talked about it and let me tell you I'm glad I took the chance and met her!!! My hair is super cute and I left happy, FaceTiming my family to show them my curly cut!! I'll be back to see Amy and I'll recommend her to all my peeps:). I showed up 9 minutes late (due to rain & traffic)for an appointment and clearly no one was around. Amy did not even say Hello after i apologized for being late. She rudely began telling me that all she could do was a dry cut and if I was okay with that because all she had time for was that. I told her all I needed was a trim but wanted it wet. She kept saying well if your okay with leaving here wet. The tone in her voice was rude. Not the first time either. I gave them the benefit of the doubt but they are too rude or maybe even racist. I run a business too and I give people always at least 15 mins to be late. This is totally unacceptable. read more

April Brashear has been cutting my hair for 10+ years. I schedule my haircuts around trips home from New York City so that I can see her! She always takes the time to consult me, listening to what I want but giving her professional advise on what will suit my hair texture, face, coloring, etc. If you become a regular, she'll do even better after getting to know your preferences and personality. I have always been happy with my hair after leaving her chair. Over the years I've had cuts at other places, but it was never worth a second return, and I find myself heading back to April. She died my hair for the first time today, and I absolutely love it! The salon itself is a fine little place. Nothing fancy, but everyone is kind, the facilities are clean and everything runs on time. read more

I've been going to Ann Hill at the Hair Bizz in Arlington for a couple years now. She is the best! I don't know how many hairdressers I tried before finally finding Ann. She does an amazing job every time. Other hairdressers always gave me cuts that took an unreasonable amount of time to style every morning. Ann understands the quirks of my hair and never fails to give me a gorgeous cut that only takes about five minutes to style. Ann also gives a fabulous razor cut, which I've found to be a rare talent among local hairdressers. read more

I usually go to Hair Bizz for my hair cut but since i moved to another part of town it is to far of a drive for me just to get a haircut. So yesterday i made the mistake of going to "Great Clips" and received a 13 dollar hair cut. Well you get what you pay for, the stylist severely messed up my bangs, she cut them so short and lopsided a three year old could have done better. ( I even showed her a picture of what I wanted) However this review isnt about the crappy stylist from Great Clips...this review is about Elizabeth from Hair Bizz. After the incident at Great Clips I went to the salon that i should have gone to in the first place. I walked in and was greeted by Elizabeth. I explained to her what happened and she quickly made me an appointment. This woman is amazing! She turned my crappy haircut into a sexy edgy look. She literally saved my hair! She was also very friendly and explained to me what she was going to do to my hair before cutting it. I have always had a good experience at Hair Bizz but this last appointment just confimed that from here on out I will always give them my business and I will be making my appointments with Elizabeth. I have been here a few times for a highlight and hair cut and it has always been okay but not great. This last time I went to get my highlights done as my roots had grown out. I asked for platinum blonde highlights like always. This time I was given orange golden highlights. She only did this to the root of my hair and did not continue down to the rest of my hair. The hair cut was very uneven. It was by far the worst color job I have ever gotten. Will not be returning again. Thankfully I got it fixed at another salon in Fort Worth. read more

I am so happy I came here today!! My hair was very long and thick and I wanted something very different. I wanted an A-line but a longer one. But I decided to go shorter. I also wanted to go to a solid color instead of my highlights but my hairstylists explained the process and the cons. So I decided to stay the same but she did lighten it up for me.
