I needed to take the time to write this true authentic review because people need to know the truth about Angela and the beauty of Hair Addict. After turning 50, going through 30 + years of the hairdresser carousel, menopause and an enormous amount of stress, my beautiful long blond hair was slowly starting to turn to straw and it was getting shorter and shorter. Short hair was just not a great look for me. I began to think about extensions and came across several reviews of Hair Addict on local Facebook and Instagram reviews. I also stalked their IG page and noticed some beautiful work she had done for charity to a woman that lost her hair due to brain cancer. It was incredible and I had to check this salon out. In November of 2021, I walked into Hair Addict, without an appointment, to check them out. I was greeted by her amazing staff who introduced me to Angela, the owner. I was so depressed and I think Angela really felt for me! I hated my hair and always wore a hat to cover it. Angela immediately made time for me to evaluate my hair and discuss the process of extensions. I then discussed the cost of services and ordered my new hair. A week later, I was transformed! I felt beautiful and more like myself again! I cried and then Angela gave me a hug and we cried together! In those moments in life, all the sacrifices you make come full circle. I know it is just hair but it was really important to me and my confidence was boosted. Angela and her staff do impeccable work. Angela is a master in her craft and is constantly educating herself and her team in her field of expertise. If you get to know her well enough, you will know her backstory, her struggle and see why she loves what she does and puts her heart and soul into her work. I will NEVER again go to another salon. I trust Angela and her staff at Hair Addict like I have never trusted another stylist before. You will have no regrets about the services they provide. Hair Addict has become like a family to me. The Front Desk staff is great about communicating pricing and appropriate tips which has always been awkward for me in the past. Due to their success and growing clientele, they moved over a year ago to an expanded space and it is beautiful and welcoming. You will have no regrets about making an investment in yourself at Hair Addict! Quality extensions and professional hair Services in general are not cheap.You get what you pay for, especially in this business. The time and process of extensions is extremely tedious and you should only trust an experienced hand. Be very wary of FALSE, negative reviews! Social media, and reviews can be a beautiful thing and help your business but successful women and businesses are often the target of haters that hide behind their keyboards. If you are unhappy with any business at any time, talk to the owner or manager and at least give them a chance to settle the situation before you bash any business. If I could give a zero star rating I would. Please, for the love of all things hair, stay away from this place. My experience here was beyond atrocious, it was so bad, I've considered litigation. I'm warning you now, this is gonna be long. I called for an appointment with Angela, the owner. I was told she isn't taking on new color clients. I was then told that Kaitlin was available. I asked if she was a master colorist. I was assured she was. I asked that question not to be a snob, but because I knew that the color I was looking to achieve would take someone with a lot of skill, and experience. My hair color at the time was dark brown, and previously had been pink. I was looking to go back to ash blonde. I went in for a consultation. Showed the stylist, Kaitlin, what I was looking to EVENTUALLY achieve. I am not new to coloring my hair, I knew very well what I wanted would take multiple visits over months to achieve. I made it clear that I understood this and was in no rush. She assured me that while she couldn't get me to look like the picture she would get me started. I made an appointment. The day of the appointment we get started. She asked to see my inspiration picture one last time. I show her and she asks if she can take my phone to Angela, the owner. I say, "sure", and off she goes. She comes back and says, "ok, we have a great plan!" and gets started on my hair. EIGHT HOURS Later LATER I'm in her chair and my hair is cotton ball white. I feel the lump in my throat forming. I say to her, "what did you do? My hair is white, and it has no dimension". I see the look of panic in her eyes, and she says, "ok, we can tone it down". By this time, it's about 7pm, the salon is basically empty, and they're cleaning up. We go back to the sink area and she applies toner to my hair. While I'm sitting there processing I touched my hair and a clump fell out. I thought I would throw up. I finish processing and we go back to the chair. She and another stylist blow dry my hair because it's just about 8pm and everyone wants to leave. I hear the helping stylist say to Kaitlin, next time, follow your instincts. So it would seem she had a different plan in mind. Kaitlin finishes styling the cotton candy that is my hair and walks away. The star of the show, shop manager Teresa comes over and she asks what I'm thinking. I burst into tears sobbing, "she butchered my hair!" The poor woman had tears in her eyes. You could tell she was very upset, and to be fair so was Kaitlin. But big deal, their hair was in tact mine not so much! At that point I'm told I will not be paying for the service, and they are going to set me up with as many Olaplex treatments as I need for free. Teresa explains that she spoke with the owner, Angela, and that this is what they would like to do to make this right. She further explains that Angela will be working on my hair from now on and she will be giving me my Olaplex treatments. We set my first treatment for Black Friday. I go in and Angela isn't there. I'm told"oh we didn't realize it was a holiday "Angela won't be in". At this point I'm shocked because you've got the owner of a hair salon whose stylist just ruined an entire head of hair and she doesn't think it's important enough for her to be there to see this herself and make it right. Considering she played a part in deciding how they were going to dye my hair which is what ruined it. I was annoyed but I let it go because I just wanted to get the service over with. I went back two more times none of which Angela thought she needed to be there for, it was only when I started speaking up about the salon on a local Facebook group telling them my experience that finally Angela reached out and offered to put extensions in my hair for free. If you know anything about hair extensions you know you need to make sure your hair is completely healthy because they could be damaging so not only was the "professional" avoiding dealing with my situation but then her solution was to further damage my hair in the name of making it look better instead of actually being healthy. Needless to say I did not take her up on her offer. I've since had to cut all my hair off to a stacked chin length bob, and there is still a lot of damage to contend with. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place like the plague. read more

Angela is a hair genius!! I came to the salon asking to be platinum blonde. Not one full color throughout my hair but subtle variations of platinum blonde throughout. In addition, a root that was blonde but had some darker depth so it would blend with my natural hair color when it grows in, giving my hair more time between visits. (That's a tall order considering my before photo . I had yellow ends, orange mids and much natural regrowth.) Angela used a mixture of highlights, baby lights, and balayage to achieve the look. She went through every single strand of my hair meticulously. What she accomplished far exceed my vision. She has an enormous amount of skill & talent. My hair can be parted anywhere from top to base, showing the color is even and perfectly blended. My hair is healthy & soft even after being this blonde. I have never been disappointed with the outcome, and I've done it all to my hair... I have been wanting to try this salon despite some of the negative reviews. Made an appointment for 12:30 with Kate. Spoke to the receptionist about my recent surgery which prevented me from putting my head in the sink. I was told I could wash my hair and come in for a cut. When I arrived they tried a bait and switch and put me with Courtney. I'm not comfortable with any salon switching hairdressers on me. I was told that Kate wasn't available for 25 minutes. This was so unprofessional and even more so to a potential client. The owner saw the whole thing and did nothing. Do not trust the estimate you get if you go in for a consultation. I called and asked for a colorist and was booked with Joe. My hair is half grown out gray and I wanted to make the full transition along with a lavender tone to it . Joe mentioned bleach at the ends, low lights and a glaze . He was unable to give me a price and directed me to a staff member named Theresa . Joe stood next to her and explained what he would do and she quoted me a price of $250 plus $35 if I wanted a blow out. She explained that due to the time it would take I would need to leave a 50$ deposit to secure the appt. Since this was a bday gift from my husband and I am expecting, I am on a budget but discussed it with husband and he was happy I found a salon. I called a few days later to schedule the appt and left my deposit over the phone . I double checked the price with Theresa and explained that I couldn't go over budget . She said it may be slightly more or less but placed me on hold to consult with Joe and when she came back on the phone conformed the estimate and took my deposit . On the day of my appt , I was seated right away and Joe came over to review his technique . After seeing my hair again under the lighting he determined I would not need low lights after all. I then asked how much would it be since I was told $250 with the low lights . He went to get the owner and she basically told me that there was no way they could honor that price and estimated my hair would then be at least $100 more ! I questioned how that could be since my hair hardly touches my shoulders and low lights were no longer being done . She explained that it would take long which was already established when I booked the appt and left my deposit . She also said they would have to use a lot of product on my hair . How much product could possibly be used I have short , thin hair? She explained that she would speak to Theresa about the miscommunication and then offered me a lower level colorist but said Joe would be the best option . I felt very uncomfortable and believe that she should have honored the estimate . I would have spent close to $ 330 with blow out and tip plus returned for future upkeep . But for the price you only get the junior colorist if you can believe it . Had I gone with Joe my hair would have cost an insane 350 plus tip and blow out . I was referred there by my cousin . When I told her what happened she was so embarrassed that she referred me there . She will not be returning there either . I found another master colorist at a beautiful salon who will be doing my hair within my budget so I'm happy I decided to walk out . read more

I went to Hair Addict for color and a consultation for extensions. the color seemed rushed and it did not come out the way I was wanting (which they said they could do) and again i felt rushed. nobody explained the difference of extensions. it was decided from the girl looking at my hair and the quote I got was for over $1200.00!!! thats insane!!! anyway I know they have a good reputation but for me, who has limited money it was to much money. Very deceptive and unprofessional practices. The stylist was terrific but they bait and switch their prices. After first time it happened I made sure to call (twice) to verify cost for services requested. Yep, despite my verifying cost 2x, it happened again! Their explanation: 'the stylist did more'. I started going to hair addict since they opened.i was a loyal customer for a long time. But after a series of mishaps I stopped going. Around 6 months had passed and i received a message from my stylist asking me where i was. I explained all my concerns and was told if I return I would get a locked in discount.so I went back. Today was the last straw.when I went to pay (and my rate is in computer) i was told by the impolite and irritated receptionist that my bill was 35.00 more than what i was "locked" In for. I asked her to go speak with my stylist for confirmation. I noticed the owner join the conversation with the receptionist and my stylist. I was told my rate was no longer going to be offered. The owner was two feet away from me but chose not to speak with me. I had an on going appointment scheduled for every 4 weeks. Within 5 minutes of meeting her, she managed to diffuse my concerns of trying a new hair salon, and addressing my hair oxidation concerns - she gave it to me straight, with no BS and that's how I needed to hear it . She set me up with Joe Francis, a color specialist . They warned me ahead of time this would be a long appointment as they were doing a double process , bialayge & some color deposit . I'm not one to sit still for too long but I mentally prepared myself . I brought books, iPad and work phone. I didn't need the iPad - that's slightly overkill and dramatic. Joe Francis , was a true professional, listened to my concerns , I showed him pictures of what I liked - he explained what would and would not work and how to maintain it . He dropped a little education - and I'm great-full for it . End result: 5 hrs in a chair - worth every second and every penny . My hair has not looked this good in 7 years . The hours did go faster than I thought, ( I thought I would be miserable sitting there ) and thoroughly enjoyed the music and awesome staff . Everyone was stellar, and thoughtful . Devastated! My hair was completely destroyed and two months later the quality of my hair is still awful. I specifically asked to not be blonde and when I was done it was all different shades of blonde. Went back to have it "fixed" was promised 2 shades darker and left more blonde! At my first appointment I was told how beautiful my hair was and when I left my hair was severely damaged and like straw. I have been embarassed at the appearance of my hair since. When I tried going to another salon after to get my uneven mismatched balayage fixed and they refused to put any more product in my hair because of how damaged it is. I don't even know where to start. I drove 50 minutes to this salon. It was kindve like a high school friend group with the gossip and whispering when I got there. The stylist sat me down and asked what I wanted and basically told me that she couldn't do what I wanted and it was $375! Crazy! I thought the picture was highlights but it was a baylage. She ended up doing a half baylage but with low lights because I didn't want to be too blonde. She puts the foils on and puts the timer on for 35 minutes and then disappears. My timer goes off.. and there's no one to be found besides a stylist next to me working on someone. But my stylist was nowhere to be found. 20 minutes go by and I get an assistants attention. She went in the back and I overheard my stylist say "wasn't she supposed to be under for 30 minutes? Put her under for another5".... so at this point I had already had the foils on for 55 minutes. After my second timer goes off I had to wait another 10 minutes before anyone even came over to me. When I could hear all of them talking amongst themselves in the back. She never came over to check the color, the assistant just washed it out and it didn't even feel like she was washing my hair. My stylist came over to blow my hair out and she was saying how it looked so much better. My hair looked EXACTLY THE SAME. At that point I was already waiting for so long so I didn't want to ask for her to add anything to it. I was obviously not happy. I get up to the counter and it comes out to $220!!!!!! For my hair to look exactly the same. I have read other reviews on here and the responses from the owner and I didn't call for a refund because the owner doesn't give refunds for things that she "can't see. " quite honestly Its not worth my time to go back to that place since I live so far. A refund would be the right thing to do. I should've listened to the reviews when I read them bEfore I got to the salon!
