I spoke to several others in the area and Johnathan was the ONLY one to give me a straight and honest response about my case. He did not give me false hope by telling me I would get everything I asked for. He instead was realistic with me and he is extremely responsive! If I have any sort of issue he responds to my email so quickly and I know that is not the case for most family attorneys. We are still in the process of getting everything ready so I will update how it goes during hearings etc... but so far he's the right guy for the job. When I asked my original attorney about the three people I interviewed he hands down told me Mr. Marks was the way to go and he wouldn't drain my account like the other ones and he is very good at what he does. He is higher per hour than the others but I am perfectly willing to pay for an amazing attorney. He is well worth the money I will be spendings as time goes on.

If you like hiring an attorney who files to have your house sold a year after it was sold, and a junior attorney who perhaps ruins your entire life because they are upset about their own lack of accountability, then go with Jonathon. Ask why you cannot leave a voicemail. Ask why there is no mechanism to make you aware of filings. I very strongly suggest due diligence. I think there are decent people here who may have indecent personal matters going on, but those were never disclosed to me and forced me into a financially untenable legal position. Withdrawing a day before he told me--and before the trial was complete--is client betrayal and unacceptable.

This firm cost me tens of thousands of dollars in my divorce case. Prior to trial, my attorney…read morehad me sign a poorly written agreement with my ex that the judge interpreted as me assigning her $50K when it was just supposed to go into escrow. For a lawyer to screw that up was disgraceful and embarrassing. At trial, despite having proof that my ex had stolen $80K and hidden it, my attorney's timidity and disorganization lead to that information not being presented to the judge. I was in horror as I watched the firm blow the case. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere for your legal representation.

Patrick Pedano is a thief. He strung out my custody case for…read moreover 2 years and took over $20k of my money. He was completely incompetent throughout the entirety of my case. He will sweet talk you at the start of your case only to deliver a nightmare. He doesn't reply to emails. He doesn't care about you. He won't protect you. Near the end of my case he tried to force me to settle with the following terms: $0 child support Tax credit alternating years + Parent coordinator (which I did not want) $0 legal fees Patrick and I had a disagreement over those terms. I called him lazy and he withdrew from my case leaving me without a lawyer 3 weeks before trial. After Patrick withdrew from my case, because he couldn't handle being called lazy, I obtained a new lawyer and the case was settled with the following terms: $710 child support Tax credit EVERY year NO Parent coordinator $5000 Legal fees I don't even understand why a supposedly legitimate attorney would have tried to force me to settle on much worse terms, especially after I paid him tens of thousands of dollars. I gave Patrick over $20,000 to do absolutely nothing for me. He only cares about his money and he will not help you. I STRONGLY ENCOURAGE YOU NOT TO HIRE THIS SHADY, LAZY, MONEY HUNGRY, UNTRUSTWORTHY ATTORNEY!!!

I would give Jason Korner a 1 out of 5 rating. He is not a lawyer I would ever recommend…read more My boyfriend was falsely accused of rape in the second degree in April 2022. We hired Jason Korner when we were finally given the notice that he had a warrant. The original complaint was made in march of 2020 but for some reason still unknown the city of saint louis didn't really make it a point to try to come get my boyfriend even though they knew from march of 2020 his name where he lived, his phone number, where he worked Anyway we hired Jason that November and we felt really good about having him as our attorney. If we only had known the road that lie ahead. Mr. Korner was given the results of the rape kit exam that took place 03/09/2020. The test was a negative for my boyfriends DNA. This only really could mean that although the presence of male DNA was in this biological screening it was a negative to my boyfriend's Mr. KORNER WAITED UNTIL 3 DAYS BEFORE THE FIRST TRIAL TO DO A SINGLE BIT OF WORK ON MY BOYFRIENDS CASE. He ended up contacting the witness we really didn't want and not ever making contact with our witness that had already turned over to him a signed notarized affidavit. He also failed to do a deposition on Any witnesses my boyfriend which we will never really understand. All I do know is that the day of trial he came to my boyfriend under the most deceptive of circumstances acting as though signing over the consensual sex stipulation was just protocol when in fact it was the very thing the prosecution needed to proceed with this case. Why would a defense attorney help the prosecutor..seems like something is not making sense Why would he decide to keep the rape kit results a secret and blow off the results as if they were not relevant The trial ended in 8 to 4 split with the jury. 8 not guilty 4 didn't understand what reasonable doubt was - which technically is not guilty. Because its either guilty or not guilty and at the end of the trial they were not willing to say guilty so wasn't that the end of this nightmare? Well there were a lot of strange things that went on that first trial Mr. Korner allowed the jury to have the sister in law of the prosecutor as one of its jurors and he allowed the prosecutor to walk off with our witness before she got on the stand He literally was writing down question's for the alledged victim as her testimony was given to the prosecutor. Talk about totally unprepaired. So trial number 2 was scheduled for march 2024 and reminiscent to the first trial Mr Korner acted as though this would be a Cake walk but a few days before trial he has us back in his office and once again he has done nothing to prepare for this case. He never made any attempt to find our witnesses and never sent a subpoena to anyone and when it came time to ask the judge for the first time ever in this case he slit my boyfriends threat and acted as if he had been trying all this time to get ahold of witnesses which is a ball face lie because for sure he never ever did. Anything that was investigated in this case was done so by myself but I had limits under the law on what I could investigate because I didn't want to get hit with witness tampering. So come trial day Mr Korner gives a weak ass and blame shifting request to continue to later time in order to get in touch with our witness Mr. KORNER HAD full knowledge of since Dec 2022. We were denied that continuance due to having waited to the very last minute but we had been asking him to file a continuance for 2 months so why would he not do it? Good question So at the end of it all my boyfriend is a registered sex offender for the next 10 years. He is forced to sit every week with men who talk about having sex with little innocent children and has been subjected to questionnaires about when was the last time he thought about having sex with his mother and when the last time he fantasized about having sex with a dead body . My boyfriend was looking at ten years for a crime where literally and I mean literally the only evidence in this case was the testimony of a woman who never kept one detail of her recollection of this alleged assault straight. She told different stories every time she told it. There was not any witness cooperation of any kind not by the dna not by detectives investigation because there never was one. Not by anything but the word of one person And Jason Korner could not get a not guilty for an innocent man. Mr Korner failed to provide adequate legal counsel to my boyfriend. He never did any kind of investigation never deposed anyone except the alleged victim , and did a lousy job deposing her It almost appeared that he was on her side and not my boyfriends He never challenged any of the 50 inconsistent statements the woman made. You be better off with public defender 20,000 dollars later my boyfriend is a registered sex offender for a crime he is innocent of and 100% because his lawyer sucked

I don't usually leave reviews, but I feel like people should know what to expect. This lawyer came…read moreoff as really condescending and unprofessional. The way they communicate is more like they're talking to a friend, not a client-definitely not what you'd expect when dealing with serious matters. They didn't take the time to actually look into things and seemed quick to jump to conclusions instead of understanding the full situation. Also, don't expect a free consultation--it's not clear upfront, and there's a big discrepancy when it comes to what they charge. Transparency should be standard, but that wasn't the case here. I'd suggest going with someone who takes their time, communicates professionally, and is upfront about fees. Update: July 10 2025 Hi Sheila, I am the individual who left the review. First, I want to make it clear that I am not a woman, and your assumption and repeated misgendering are not only incorrect but highly offensive. It's inappropriate and unprofessional to make such personal assumptions in your reply to a customer. Second, your claim that I was paid or hired to write a fake review is completely false and defamatory. I stand by my experience and the feedback I shared. If you believe the review is inaccurate, you're welcome to provide clarification or request mediation through the platform, but attacking someone's identity and credibility without evidence crosses the line. I encourage you to handle criticism with professionalism and care. Accusations and disrespect toward potential clients reflect poorly on your practice.
