Unethical builder, do not purchase unless you want to end up repairing your entire home yourself!! Purchased in July 2023 been nothing but a nightmare, Haddix hires cheap labor who have no clue what they are doing, cannot keep employees, no one oversees or is accountable for punch list items or warranty issues are done correctly. Don't waste your money on upgraded paint, Haddix tells his painters to only apply one coat and the paint is WATERED down we have the proof but Haddix refused to acknowledge. Back patio sunk as well as porch roof fell 2 inches because they do not put piers under the columns that hold the roof up we had to hire a professional to fix it ourselves because they would not take responsibility. Doorways not installed correctly, plumbing issues the list goes on. Paul Haddix showed up late to our closing looking disheveled, refused to look at us then refused to sign the 60 item punch list, claimed he had never seen it before? Such a long list of items to list that it would take forever. To start Paul doesn't honor ANYTHING he says. The home warranty is like trying to pull teeth to get them to fix items and the punch list took over 2 years to finally complete. I honestly think part of their business model is to push you off, not return calls or do the warranty work that you should have until you get aggravated and just do it yourself. Buyer beware. This company is as unprofessional as I have ever encountered. And if you do buy a home from this company, be prepared to fix all the problems yourself. Bad drywall work, watered down paint coverings that are awful (I have proof), driveways are constructed as cheaply as possible and surface chips appear soon, shower leaks, debris and rock filled lawns. Low air circulation HVAC systems resulting in excessive dust in your home, tape and fastener bleed through due to diluted (and incorrect formula) paints on the bathrooms. Submits incorrect floor plan layouts to the city resulting in transformers and phone towers directly in the front of garage doors. I just bought a new home from Haddox construction. very disappointed with the service provided. We have been calling for several days to have the garage door opener fixed. we closed on the house over a week ago but the garage door opener does not work. We cannot move in until this is fixed. No one answers the phone and when they do answer, they promise that someone will get back with us and a week later I'm still waiting. I have never seen this kind of pathetic service . read more

I am a disabled veteran with 3 combat tours to Iraq. I made an offer on a Haddix house in Frankfort Kentucky in May 2020. Everything was going well until I was informed that the seller (Paul Haddix) would not sign two forms from the Veterans Affairs (VA). The first form was to certify that materials used in building the house were Radon Resistant due to the house built was identified in Region 4, Zone 1. This region and Zone are known for Radon Gas according to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). The second form was for Council of American Builders Officials (CABO). The CABO is to certify that the construction meets all local code requirements and are in substantial conformity with VA Minimum Property Requirements, including the energy construction standard of the 1992 Council of American Building Officials (CABO) Model Energy Code (MEC). Mr. Haddix refused to sign the two forms. His decision to not sign the forms resulted in a breach of contract. I strongly believe that either his construction is not in compliance with local and federal building codes or he has no support for veterans that protect his way of life. I just recently had the pleasure of looking for my forever home, and more importantly, building my forever home. I was overwhelmed with the endless ideas of what my forever home would look like. Fortunately I stumbled across Haddix Construction's website. I loved the fact that I was able to view all of their house plans online. I absolutely fell in love with the Juniper Ridge plan. It was EXACTLY what I was looking for. I contacted Haddix Construction and I was able to walk through one that was currently being built at the time. The pictures do not do this house justice. I was able to sit down with the owner and go over some modifications that I wanted with the house to meet my specific expectations. He was more than willing to make the plan fit my personal needs. For example I HAVE to have a fireplace, laundry off of the garage entrance, 1/2 bath as soon as you walk into the house, covered front porch ( i love sitting outside and drink my coffee), a side garage entrance, and a full basement. Juniper Ridge is by far the best house plan I came across and I looked for a very long time. If you are in the market for a open concept ranch style house that has vaulted ceilings I suggest you give these guys a call. I was beyond thrilled with their workmanship, creativity, and most importantly final cost of building my forever home. read more
