I've never liked a pet shop that doesn't show off some animals as I mean really that's a perfect way to attract attention and get some customers. The pets don't even realise how much free advertising they provide for the place. In saying that this pet shop knows their pets and the staff there are flawless when it comes to the sometimes-tricky questions they are faced with. It's really set up fantastically and even though I haven't owned fish since my childhood, I get compelled to have a walk through their little aquarium and constantly get amazed looking at all the different types of fishes they have swimming around. It is important for the store to have a lot of supplies and they do for all types of strange pets like lizards and ferrets but when I had a cat (poor thing got run over) and went there he would be spoiled like a child at Christmas. You can't help but buy the interesting and suitable products for your pet and I know some big pet lovers who would definitely empty their wallets there. Even now, without a pet, I find myself drawn to this pet shop and I get that inkling every time that maybe I should just come home with a puppy and believe me it takes a lot of restraint, especially after the open the cage up, to not run out the door. I do really love the Pets Wonderland Aquarium and feel like it has a very suitable title, as it truly is a wonderful wonderland for the pet and their loving owner.

The solution was to yell at him. Following this, he understandably continued to bark and so his face was held firmly so he could be directly yelled out. Then a hand was put into his mouth to try further to stop him barking. Interesting psychology to calm a scared puppy!!! Understandably we left without having his hair cut.

(Public holidays they are open from 10-4). One store is dedicated to all things fish, birds and reptiles - including the live animals themselves. Prices here are really good and the animals are well looked after. The fish tanks are clean and the staff are really good at chasing down the exact specimen you want for your new pet. The second store is for kittens, puppies, small animals and grooming needs. They provide a grooming service here but I have never utilized that. While meandering around their pet toys you can hear the sound of puppies playing and kittens purring - nothing like the kind of pet store where the animals are asleep in tiny boxes. Our dog is a big boxer and trying to wash him at home is super difficult. He either jumps out of the bath or runs away from the hose in the backyard, either way it is a total pain in the you-know-where. The Happy Pet Company has a bath with nice high sides and plenty of washing settings in the hose. It is operated with coins so make sure to bring plenty of gold. It generally costs us around $8 to give him a thorough scrubbing and about $5 for a lazy wash. The shop itself also sells dog treats, dog food, toys and bedding. They offer dog washing and grooming as well but this is a little expensive for my budget. Be careful if you come here with a big dog as there are often dogs all over the place. Our dog loves 'socialising' with other dogs but sadly others don't like being pinned to the floor with a big paw. For this reason I always go early in the morning to avoid the crowds.
