Fantastic is the one word I would use to describe this company, service tech, and repair. My garage door spring broke unexpectedly and we were in a bind to try and have it repaired quickly. I called the company at 9 PM at night. Bill, the owner, answered the phone and was able to give me a quote over the phone for this repair that is pretty common. He also gave me sound advice on what to ask when soliciting quotes from other companies and was very trustworthy in his advice. He made me feel confident that he was not overselling or overpricing the repair and told me he could get it done the next day in the morning if I were to choose them. I did do some calling around to other big name companies in Atlanta for pricing comparison. All of which were answered by a answering service that told me someone would get to me the next day on a quote. Needless to say, I called Habpro back and Bill advised his tech would contact me the next morning at 8:30 for a service call between 9-11AM. As promised, Chuck called me at 8:30, came promptly at 9 AM and got to work. He finished in a couple of hours, walked me through the repair and gave me some maintenance on my garage door. He was very polite and courteous to my wife and myself. I will recommend Habpro to all my friends and family should a need for garage repair arises and I will continue to use them going forward. PS. I did get a call back from the other companies that I left a message for the next day, all were over Habpro's quote. They did a great job in istalling the new garage opener but the manager or owner on the phone was quite rude as if he didnt want to deal with me. So be forewarned that if you call them, you may run into this bad attitude. Dont ever want to deal with this guy again. The installer was a good guy. read more

I have hired this company two times in the past with good results. I was fully prepared to hire them again and the prices were okay, but my experience today has made me drop them. Bill F, the owner became upset on the telephone while I was getting a quote (he doesn't do in person quotes). He got upset when I wouldn't tell him the name of who else I was getting a quote from. I decided to use the other company because of that, but got multiple calls and emails from Bill following that. I had to block his phone number. His technicians were friendly, but I just don't want to have to talk with him again. I guess he will read this and send me a dozen emails. Nice, helpful and friendly however, I think it needs to be made clear there is a service fee of $125. We were advised of the service fee only after the Tech came out to our home. While we contemplated not getting any work done, the tech advised we would have to pay $125. We were able to get metal braces installed on our garage doors which was needed and I appreciated the helpful info regarding the need for the braces however, with the service fee and new metal braces we spent $175. Now, the door still does not work but this is not due to any fault of Haspro. We do share some responsibility in that we should have asked if there was a service charge for coming out. Nonetheless we didn't ask and they did not tell prior to coming out. ********************UPDATE************************ Good faith effort deserves recognition! After a phone call with the owner we realized the unit was under warranty. We called the garage door company and they sent out a part. The latter was shared with Habpro and the owner sent the Tech back out to help us install the part. Chuck, the Tech is such a team player! Chuck tried his best to get the opener to work but the unit seems faulty. In summary, any company that will go above and beyond outside of their obligation to assist customers is FIVE STAR QUALITY and worthy of an opportunity to serve your family. read more

I had a pleasant experience repairing a broken linkage on my garage door last year. But what I am really impressed about this business is their honesty. When I called in this year thinking I need a yearly inspection of the door, the gentleman on the other end advised me that although he would love to take my money, an inspection should only be done every 2-3 years unless any other problem. It's really rare to have such honesty these tough days and I am very thankful to see them still running their business with integrity. Needed my squeaky garage doors serviced. Called Habpro and Bill Farmer scheduled me for service the very next day (7/13/21). Chuck arrived on time, was very professional, friendly, took time to explain things to me and noticed a couple small things that needed attention also. Price was very reasonable and Chuck was honest and did not charge me extra for the small adjustments. Will highly recommend and will use again if the need arises in the future. Bill and Chuck, thanks for a job well done. FYI - several years ago, a lady in my subdivision lost her husband and teenage son to a drowning accident at Lake Lanier. Great service. A torsion spring on my garage broke. So the door no longer opened or closed. One phone call and Bill was able to get out to my house the same day. Within 30 -60 minutes, he not only had the new parts installed, but also inspected and confirmed that other parts of the garage mechanisms were all in excellent condition as well. I had him replace the older torsion spring that wasn't broke as well. So I'd have 2 new ones instead of 1 old and one new. Made much more sense to do this longevity wise. Great customer service is rare these days, but Bill and his crew could teach the master class. Our Liftmaster started giving us an error code, we called Habpro and it was fixed 90 minutes later! Our technician Chuck was very knowledgeable, professional, and friendly. He went above and beyond, tightening loose bolts, adjusting the spring tension, and lubricating both our doors (not just the one that had the problem.) He was also able to answer my question about how to program my older car's Homelink, something that neither Liftmaster nor Mercedes-Benz was able to help me resolve. (Answer: I just need a $22 repeater off Amazon.) I'll never call anyone else for our garage door repairs and service! read more

What a great company! I had three other companies out to look at my garage door. Each wanted $1200.00+ to fix my door; these were some of the biggest players in Metro Atlanta. I left a message at 8pm; Bill called me back within twenty minutes; made an appointment for the next morning and had one of his guys at my house. My garage door spring suddenly broke today. Sounded like a shotgun. I had no idea what had happened until I went to open the door and found that it would not open. Major crisis! I went on the Internet and found Habpro was close by and had glowing reviews. I've been taken in by 5 star reviews before but thought I'd give them a call. The guy who took my information was very calm and professional. He took my information, remembered my first name, and said he'd have some one out here before 5. True to his word, that was the case. The technician who came was an extension of that professionalism. Saw what the issue was, and just methodically did what was necessary to fix it. He had obviously done this many times over.
