I had a sofa sectional that I scheduled for pickup to donate. The sectional separated into individual pieces for ease of moving, and I had already separated for the drivers benefit. The sofa also had a small hole that had duct tape on it...the drivers came in, took one look, declared the couch 'broken' and then stated they wouldn't take the couch. When I asked why, one driver became incredibly rude and said he wouldn't take what they couldn't sale, that the couch was 'broken'...I tried to explain that the couch was apart so it could be easily moved, but he basically stormed out, leaving my screen door wide open without ensuring it was closed properly.....the reactions of the drivers was so incredibly rude; the fact that they didn't want the couch (a $3k sectional sofa) is besides the point, we donated to another charity that was BEYOND thankful to have it. I called and emailed two different sources to discuss the drivers actions, even emailing pics of the sofa put together since the drivers refused to let me explain, and never heard anything back. I realize it's a nonprofit, but they should have better customer service and acknowledge when their employees were in the wrong. read more

Great place to stop and find things to finish projects. Found awesome light fixtures new here . They had a pallet of them at a quarter of the price. Great place to run up on those things that need a little refurbishing to bring it back to life. read more

I love this place over Goodwill anymore for anything you may need for the home (not as great for clothes). It is organized fairly well and the staff while volunteers are always pleasant and willing to help you finding what you may need or be looking for. Pricing is great. I buy things here to use for Pinterest projects......I can buy a cartful of odds and ends for craft projects for less than 20 bucks! read more

A few things to keep in mind: * Bring your own bags: They don't provide them for free, so you'll need to bring your own or purchase theirs at checkout. * Cool Finds: If you're willing to hunt, they definitely have some unique deals and "hidden gems" scattered throughout the store. * Clothing Prices: The clothes are a bit pricier than what you might find at thrift stores in other regions (like Nevada, where $1 deals are more common). While the prices aren't "expensive," they are a little high for a donation center, so I usually stick to the other sections unless I find something really special. Overall: A great spot for a clean, friendly shopping trip, especially if you're looking for items other than clothing!

Upon his doctor's recommendation we visited a local medical supply store. The chair has to be over sized as my Dad is 6'4. We were told the chairs start at $1700 and go up from there. My Mom was upset as she knew it was out of our price range. We visited a couple of other stores and found pricing was still an issue or they could not provide a modified version of the chair to accommodate a taller person. We decided to call other furniture stores listed in Cookeville to see if anyone had options at a reasonable price. We called Bradley's and were told they had several options for us to look at. We went over and met Bobby and his sweet Mom. They were so helpful, knowledgeable and informative. They answered all of our questions, explained the difference in the options and went above and beyond to assist us. And on top of all that they were over $1000 cheaper then the other place. I would highly recommend them to everyone. Feels good to shop "local" and to deal with such honest, kind and sincere people. See Bobby at Bradley's - he will take good care of you.
