    First impression of the store is that it is full of different little treasures and knick knacks. Like it's got a good feel to the area and it looks like there's quality stuff there and at the moment very happy that I came in. The prices were very fair, keep in mind that there are discounts and in this store seems that discounts change every week. The employees were very helpful and the aisles were very well spaced, despite the fact that there's so much material in here. A solid recommend. I will definitely come back again.

    Overpriced and unprofessional I called this place because I…read morehad an emergency plumbing issue, my toilets were all clogged and they were the ones that came up as fast and 24/7 service, so I called and someone came out that evening. Well after 2 hours of waiting for them to clean it out, they come back and tell me I have a septic tank. They then wanted to dig it up out of the ground to get access to it and drain it because that's where the pluming was backing up. They dug up my whole side yard and it took them about 4 days to complete the work. They charged me $400 per worker to come and complete the job, on top of $2,000 for the first job and over $5,000 for the second job. Come to find out no one charges those prices and they never even cleaned up some of the toilet paper debris left out in the front yard. Then they called for payment and were extremely rude when trying to collect, stating that my checks weren't clearing and they're waiting for my debit card number. Like very unprofessional. Overall it was a bad experience, besides Cody the main worker going above and beyond to at least fix the situation. Still don't appreciate the whole situation. Be careful who you go through.

    Update #2: I found out that sold the company in 2024 shortly after my install. Problems are now the…read morenorm, not the exception. The company also never gave me my CA rebate. Use anyone else. Update 10/2025: DON'T USE THIS COMPANY After leaving my first review, I finally got the manager to message me back. I was assured it would be taken care of. I got an appointment scheduled with the city inspector again, called twice myself AND sent a message to remind them they needed to be here with a ladder to get this complete. Guess what? The City Inspector shows, no Balanced Comfort. The City Inspector says they do this all the time and leave the homeowner hanging and ultimately responsible. I called back and got the EXACT same runaround as the last time and my permit expired again. I don't know why, but I tried calling, got the same "I'm sorry, we will call you back" with NO CALL BACK. Now I'm getting ready to send a complaint to the Contractor State License Board and manage this mess myself a year and a half later. I'm not sure how this company has the reviews they do if they treat their customers as I have been. They were great until after my install happened. I have been trying diligently since early May to get this issue resolved and it seems it is of little importance. My inspection with the city was never completed after my job was done in Spring of 2024. The inspector came out and there was supposed to be someone here from Balanced with a ladder. They were not. The inspector was lovely, waited 30 minutes as we called Balanced Comfort who did not have anyone who could come. I was told it would be rescheduled. That never happened and I just forgot, but honestly I shouldn't have had to remember. This yearI got a letter from the city letting me know my permit was going to expire and I had 10 days to respond. I called the office and was told it would be taken care of. I had not heard anything by 2 days before the deadline so I called back. I was told the employee who manages that was on vacation but that she had notified the city. I called the city myself and they told me no one had called. I got an email address and emailed and got the permit extension myself. I called in to Balance again to pass the information on as well as the deadline and was told it would be managed. Well. The deadline was 5 days away and I had no contact from Balance at all. Zero. So I called again and tried to text the owner who says he is available at that time as well (no response it to have the same employee call me back) as I was traveling for work out of state. I was told it would be handled and I would get a call back and an email with a status update. I got neither again. I called yesterday to express my frustration. I was told I would get a call today with an update which did not happen. They keep blaming it on a third party company they are working with, but if that company isn't doing what they are supposed to, that should not be my issue. Find anyone else for your heating and cooling needs.
