When I spoke to them on the phone I was told that it will be $75 for the diagnosis. So I decided to schedule it with them. Vincent Torres came in and took a look at my unit on 4/3 and diagnosed the issue and provided me 3 different estimates, ranging from 900-2500. I submitted those estimates to my home warranty so I can use them for the repair, but then they requested for more information from the technician to make the decision. I contacted their office to have Vincent speak with the home warranty but I never got a response back. I decided to get a second opinion from another company and it ended up being a $500 dollar fix, so I decided to go with the second company. A few days later on 4/6, they sent me an invoice for the diagnosis for $225. I was confused why it changed from 75 to 225 so I called their office and they said that it became 225 because I had a home warranty. So they're trying to charge me more just because I have a home warranty, even though I am paying out of pocket for the diagnosis. Just cause I had mentioned that I might go with my home warranty, they decided to add on another $150. That's ridiculous. The technician didn't do anything different from before I had mentioned about my home warranty, nor did he even contact them, but just because I have a home warranty, I have to be charged 225. That's the worst scam I've ever heard. Vincent also listed 3 different parts to replace/repair to fix the unit for an outrageous amount. So he either didn't know what was wrong and trying to do a blanket fix or he's trying to upcharge. The 2nd company I hired literally fixed the unit for 20% of the price balanced comfort was trying to charge. What a ridiculously shady company and practice.
