A wonderful store that supports quality nonprofits…read more The store is always well maintained and the staff is always friendly and helpful. The furniture section is set up beautifully --it looks look a furniture showroom. The furniture quality is excellent and well priced. Instead of paying $800- 1000 for a new, fake wood, cheaply made kitchen/dining room table set with chairs, you pay a fraction of that price for real quality wood furniture. They also have couches, chairs, tables, lamps, cabinets and desks. I purchased a quality kitchen table with two leaves. Ellen helped me remove the leaves so I could see how the table worked and see the differences in size with and without each of the leaves. She answered my questions and helped me set up delivery. She was super helpful--thank you Ellen. The table arrived the following Monday. The two gentleman who delivered it were great (a big thank you to them). I've been to the store on several occasions and there are always new items coming into the store. They have a nice selection of used hard and softback books (adult, teen and children), kitchen utensils, brand name dishware and dish sets (Lennox), clothing (including shoes, hats, and coats), jewelry, framed artwork, holiday decorations, figurines, games and toys, and much more. In addition to the table, I've purchased several bracelets, an outdoor garden statue (I had seen it before on Amazon but the Amazon price was too high for me), books, and a dog trinket box. It is well worth your time to stop in and check out all the well priced quality items they have.

I don't go "antiquing," in part because I refuse to transform that word into a verb, but mainly…read morebecause I'm not much of a collector. Somerville's, though, is worthy of a visit. Here's why: It is in the lower level of an historic building, in the "East Center" of Richfield, i.e. the geographical center. This was the main stagecoach stop between Cleveland and Akron, and this is in the original building. Geoff Somerville knows all this, but he rarely bores you with any of that stuff, choosing rather to find out where your interests lie and whether he might have something that you would like to take home with you. Somerville's has a whole bunch of stuff, rather casually displayed. Books. Housewares. Art. Some of it is really old, as in many hundreds of years, while much of what is on sale is "mid-century modern" for the Jetsons lover in all of us. I saw a great accordion, an amazing book on steam boilers (well, some of us have rather peculiar tastes) and some beautiful leaded glass signs. I think Richfield has become such a bedroom community that some of the unique flavor of the town has been swept under the rug. Somerville's survives as local color, with charm, grace and wit. Stop in, and let me know if you agree. On the north-west corner of Brecksville and Streetsboro Roads, Old Route 21 and 303, for those of us without GPS but still maintain a death grip on our Thomas' Guides.

They only allow residents to join, which really helps keep the place nice. Residents know it's a privilege to use the facility, and they generally take pretty good care of it. The equipment is maintained well and worn out pads are replaced in a timely fashion. The staff is friendly and people are polite here. My only minor complaints would be they're only open until 10pm most nights, and renewing your membership can be difficult if the new worker doesn't know what they're doing. Other than that, excellent.

This place is amazing…read more I've gone several times as, unfortunately, my family and I have fallen into financial hardship. I found out about them on the bus and even though it's a bit of a hike from the East Side to their by bus, it's so worth it. The clothing they have is all clean, it's well organized (by size and by traditional gender standards), and it's plentiful. They do limit some items per person per day, but unlike many other clothing banks and even food pantries, you can visit Needs every single day they are open. They are fairly convenient location wise as well, with the West 65th station for the Redline less than a mile away, and the 22 picks up right by there, which can catch right by the station if the walk is too much for you. The thing I like the most about this place though? The staff. They are some of the nicest people I have Ever met, and some of them seem to just Know what it's like to be in the position where you need the kind of help they can give. They always greet me with smile on their faces, they genuinely enjoy what they do, and only one of them is paid. The rest of them are volunteers. It is rare for me to go some place like this and instantly feel comfortable and welcomed, but that is how they make me feel there. They care, they ask how my family is, how I'm doing, they help you find things in the store and, recently, I let them know my son's 2nd birthday was coming up, and they gave me an extra toy for him because they remember me and that my money is super tight right now. Some highlights of what they offer are: Women's Clothing Men's Clothing Children's clothing (infant, toddler, and above) (They rotate their offerings seasonally too.) Shoes! Boots! Socks! Bras! Slippers! Ties And bow ties! Plates, glasses, mugs, etc. Pots, pans, and general small kitchen things. Incontinence Products Diapers Training pants Purses Lunchboxes Book bags/backpacks Books! Toys! Carseats sometimes! Other baby items! And so much more.... Seriously, if you don't see something, just Ask. As mentioned above, the workers are wonderful and dedicated to helping you and others in their community. So, very long review short.... If you find you need assistance with basic needs, and you want to go someplace where you won't feel judged Or like a charity case, Needs Cleveland is for you. They'll treat you like a person, and they hook you up. They also accept donations too! So, if you have stuff that's in decent condition and a way to get it there (No large furniture/appliances though. They don't have room.), please bring it in!
