They have a lot of stock -- not just the tees, but band tees, touristy stuff galore, flowing dresses and skirts -- all sorts of tie died and hippy style clothes (from my youth). In addition, in the very back is a caged area with a few small alligators --for the kids (and tourists) to marvel at. They do have a few tee shirts at a bargain price, but most things you will want to buy are about $25 and up. There were a few band shirts that would have been good Christmas gifts... but not at the prices listed. In any case, for those of us at a certain age, it's a nostalgia trip to smell the incense and walk through an homage to those head shops that used to dot every corner...

Hopefully the smell of the incense isn't too overpowering once you walk in. This place was a little…read moredifferent than your usual "4 for $10" shirt shop along the Overseas Highway/Route 1. It's got its own hippie vibe to it, and the aisles are quite narrow once you walk in, to the point that one could almost consider the place a fire hazard. There is also a small cage at the back of the store that has two baby alligators; you can hold one of them at your own risk & get a photo with one for the low low price of ten dollars. (No thanks.) The store also sells some classic vinyl records & some colorful cardboard ornamental displays (roosters, birds, etc.) of different sizes that can be purchased & then assembled in just moments. It was worth the trip just to get a photo of Joliet Jake & Elwood Blues.

A boutique and an upscale thrift and a gift shop rolled into one. Costs ranged from a few dollars to almost a thousand (artistic mail boxes). But even though some things were "cute" , most items were way way out of my price range. I'm glad we came. Now I won't be wondering about them.

It is nice to have someone knowledgeable to help you find that unique treasure. She has a good Buyer's Eye, always has new goods and I would be surprised if you left without at least one or more! Probably more like us! I find her prices fair. She keeps me up on what's current and new! I'm happy certain purchases I'm helping out local artists, someone selling a family heirloom or an item of clothing. Jolene is also a very talented artist! You can find many of her handmade treasures throughout the store! She also has excellent ideas! I was struggling how to decorate a wreath and she was happy to help! She had the cutest stained glass snowman on a wood easel and she easily turned it into a nightlight for me with an LED bulb thrown in! My son says she has the nicest mix of new gifts, unique artist items, vintage, and consignment anywhere we have been! He says Jolene is bubbly and kind! Thanks Jolene for making every visit to your magical shop a- treasure!

Dolphin Research Center - Certain experiences allow you to interact with dolphins in the water

I cannot say enough good things about the DRC. Their dolphins are clearly very well cared for. They…read moreare in a habitat directly in the ocean - there are no tanks here. We got to watch two presentations with the keepers. Afterwards, they were doing a medical check on a particular dolphin that was having stomach upset. A nice man came along and told us "a keeper smarter than we will be along soon, but I can answer your questions for now. Oh, there's someone smarter than me now!" And he gestured to one of the summer interns. They both laughed. He told us all about each dolphin and their story. He told us about the hurricanes 10 years ago, and how the water rose far above the dolphin enclosures, offering them freedom, but none of them left. It was clear he really loved these animals. He walked away to assist the team working with the dolphin. The intern turns to us and says "that's the founder of this place. He's here every single day. He's the smartest of all of us!" She was great too. She said she's been dreaming of being a dolphin trainer since she was a kid. She was from Texas, but you could tell she was exactly where she was meant to be. I hope they hire her permanently. We loved the dolphin research center and will definitely be back someday!

This time, however, we brought our kids along too. In 2021, my wife did an encounter that included shaking hands/flippers with a dolphin, rubbing their back as they swam by, and performing a couple basic training signs. For this trip, we each did the Memory Maker Meet encounter, which included the shaking hands/flippers and back rub, but most importantly, having a dolphin paint us a picture. We each chose two colors and held a canvas out while a pair of dolphins (Reese and Louie on that day) took turns spinning around with paint brushes in their mouths painting the canvases. It was very much worth the time and extra cost. Throughout the day there are opportunities included even with basic admission to watch training sessions or learn about caring for dolphins. You can very easily have a fun day and support a great cause at the same time.
