I called around and spoke to many, but when I called All Kine Motor Repairs, I was very impressed with the manner Jerrod conducted the call. He took the time to explain the possible issues based on my descriptions. There was a refreshing sincerity, and seasoned knowledge that came across in his explanations. Thanks, Jerrod! I hope I will not need your services for quite some time, but when I do, I'll be sure to give you a shout!

Aloha, and To Whom it May Concern:…read more I had my Escalade truck serviced today, and would like to thank Nicole for her excellent customer service.  I had a few questions and concerns, and Frankie was also very helpful as always.  Nicole followed up on my concerns, and her customer service defies superlative. I would ask whomever is Nicole's supervisor, to acknowledge her good work with a raise!  As a long standing customer of Lex Brodie's (over 25 years!), I want to give credit where it is due. Thank you kindly.

I brought my car to Lex Brodie's in Hilo after my car overheated and my A/C stopped working. I…read moreexplained everything to them, including what my husband and I observed. They told me they would diagnose the problem and charged me a $206 diagnostic fee, plus additional repair costs. After the work was done, they called and told me the fan assembly needed to be replaced. The issue is they never properly tested the system before deciding this. They assumed the fan was faulty and replaced it. My husband even requested to have the old fan returned to us because we had heard concerns that parts are sometimes replaced unnecessarily, and he wanted to verify it himself. Once the work was completed, I still had the same issue: the fans were not running, and the A/C still didn't work. My husband tested the original fan afterward, and it worked perfectly. The real issue is something else in the system that is preventing the fans from being triggered. When I picked up the car, I immediately told them the fans still weren't running, but the employee, Tiana (or Tina), with red and black hair, talked down to me. She dismissed my concerns, told me the fans were working, and insisted my original issue wasn't what they tested for, even though this was exactly the problem I came in with. Today, when I returned, she again gave me a dismissive attitude. They eventually issued a refund but still attempted to charge me a $57 store service fee, which I made clear I would not be paying because no effective service was provided that resolved my vehicle's issue. I had to deal with this for two full days, yesterday from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and today from 7 a.m. to noon, all while managing a toddler and an infant. For them to be so unprofessional and dismissive throughout this experience was completely unacceptable. The mistake was theirs, but the way I was treated was appalling. I will not be returning, and I cannot recommend them to anyone.

Rented a car for the entire week, thinking there's no way my car will get fixed until later in the week. The next morning at 0800, I called Clint's and spoke with Sheldon(sp?) who works there and told him exactly what happened. He was extremely professional on the phone and advised I use Kens Towing to get my car there that day. He also let me know that they would do their best to get it fixed - if not that day then Monday for sure. Now, because it was an emergency (the only vehicle I own), I was super grateful to hear that. All I had to do was sign a waiver to keep the car there overnight or for it to stay through the weekend. To my surprise, Sheldon was able to get everything fixed that day - it was more than just the starter that was the issue! They are closed on the weekend, but I had been at my other house outside of town and too tired to drive back to get the car. When I spoke to Auntie on the phone, she told me that she would be in the next day to do some work and that I could just pick it up then if I would like. Everyone there is extremely humble, very knowledgeable, and quick to satisfy their customers. I highly recommend this place! If I could give them 10 stars, I would!

They had not done a Prius lift before, but it came out great, and the car drives like a new car now. I had been talking to them about this job for over a year and in the interim period they moved to a much larger garage below the Honda dealer. (Apple Maps still shows their old location, however.) They were friendly and helpful from my drop-off to my pickup. Price was good too. I asked them to save all my old parts and they did that. They also do alignments, so that was helpful. If I were to grasp for anything that could be improved, it would be that when I picked up the car, I would have enjoyed hearing more of the story of how the job went. When I asked if I could talk to the mechanic who did the job, I was told no, because "everybody worked on it." After planning this job for so long, I would have enjoyed a little more debriefing on it, and whether they noticed any other issues while they had it up on the lift, for example. Just a fun thing for me, but obviously not essential. So this is not even a tiny complaint, just a suggestion, that would perhaps contribute to customer loyalty. I recommend Top Notch 100%. Thank you !
