We brought our own food and drinks to enjoy. We had Captain Ron throughout our excursion who is simply the BEST. You can tell that he has a ton of experience, and even brought us to see pods of dolphins swimming! He expertly navigated us so close to the dolphins, and this experience was the highlight of our weekend.

Do book it around sunset, that's definitely the most aesthetic. We managed to book at the exact time to get all three views, daytime, sunset, and night. Daytime you get deep blues. Sunset you get baby blue with cooper pink. And sunset you get the lights from the swans. I think sunset is the worst view. My biggest gripe with this experience wasn't about the experience itself, just the customers who stay well beyond their booking period. You won't get the full sunset view just because things block the way. Keep that in mind.

Checking in with staff is pretty easy, right outside of the boat ramp, water life vest are provided, kid sizes included with your ticket. You get an hour to ride around but honestly, if you pace it right, you'll either get tired of paddling or just let the boat sit idle and enjoy the wind, fresh air, and date vibes. AVOID THIS PLACE. Worst boat rental experience I've ever had…read more The manager was rude and condescending from the moment we arrived. Someone in our group had already started the check-in process about 15 minutes before the rest of us arrived, yet we still stood around for another 20 minutes while he repeatedly ignored us. When he finally dealt with us, he spoke to us like we were children rather than paying customers. After we finished checking in, we waited roughly another 20 minutes with no boat. I finally went over and politely asked where our boat was, and instead of simply giving me an update, he started yelling at me and told me we were "lucky" we were even still getting a boat. He literally laughed in my face and was incredibly condescending. And somehow, that wasn't even the worst part. We finally got on the water and the boat failed while we were out there. We were stranded and someone had to come retrieve us from the middle of the water. They put us on a second boat, and that boat wouldn't start either. The manager immediately claimed it was "user error" and came over to show us what we were supposedly doing wrong. Except when HE tried it, he couldn't get the boat started either. Instead of acknowledging that there was clearly a problem with the boat, he then blamed us for "overheating" it. At that point they were going to put us on a THIRD boat, but we were completely over it. Between the excessive waiting, being yelled at and laughed at, getting stranded on the water, and then having a second boat fail, we just wanted to leave. What also bothered me was watching how he spoke to his own employees. Even his employees apologized to us on his behalf, which honestly said a lot. I understand that mechanical problems can happen. What made this experience unacceptable was the combination of two boats having problems and a manager who responded to legitimate concerns with yelling, blame, ridicule, and condescension instead of basic customer service. I wish I had read the other reviews before coming here because, based on my experience, many of them describe remarkably similar issues. I would never rent from this business again.

His 30+ years of sailing experience and instruction got us up to speed quickly on the 38-ft catamaran "Untethered". In addition to sailing, we learned provisioning, how to anchor at mooring balls in Catalina, and spent 4 nights on board. It's hard to express they joy I felt at seeing the dozens of dolphins that joined us one afternoon. The man overboard drills we did offshore of Marina Del Rey were also memorable. We brought our own Starlink terminal and were able to familiarize ourselves with some of the navigation and weather apps. Ruth in the office made sure all of our logistics went smoothly.
