Outpost is not the address on the website- read the fine print! 2. Fill out all your paperwork online before you arrive! They don't have any signal to do it there and they don't have paper copies. Plus their iPad died for us to do it there. It was a headache! 3. They didn't have enough people working which added to the time we had to wait. The staff were overwhelmed and not able to keep up with everything. There were atleast 20 people behind us in line and I hate to know how long they waited!

Our Captain (Michael) was awesome and SO SO SO good with our kids. Some kids were daredevils and others were super nervous and he had the best way with all the kids. He very easily got them comfortable and ensured everyone was having fun. But at the same time, he was really careful and safe - ensuring everyone was following proper rules and safety guidelines. Of our whole week at Lake Lure, kids said that hour of tubing was their favorite activity of the vacation. THIRD OF ALL: Once you get to the location for an event (such as the North Rim Zip line) you have to get in line just to be told you have to walk to another location across a suspension bridge to get your gear. WITHOUT A SIGN mind you. A random 12 year old informed me. FOURTH OF ALL: You have one worker trying to get visitors geared up for the event and that same worker to undo their gear while others are waiting. LASTLY: A number of the attractions are closed as of me writing this. 60% of the rock wall and rock wall over the pool are closed down. If you're going to charge people for an "all day, all activities" pass, make sure you either notify or give a discount to compensate for the closed down activities. The Catawba River isn't the most scenic place to kayak, but there are some nice branches off it it where you can spot lots of turtles. If you need to take a break, pull your Kayak up into the grassy area (wheel on the back to help you) go have a quick cookout in the park area and go back out on the lake when your ready.
