I was searching high and low for a place to purchase and install an amber safety light bar for my…read morecompany truck. Despite having numerous company vehicles with amber lights, I was having minimal success pinning down where exactly the previous light bars were obtained. I was initially working with a different business that wanted too much money and would have taken too long. Fortunately, after an extensive Google search, I found AVP. My truck is a 2016 Ford F-150, so it's a common vehicle. That being said, Ford has changed the body of their late model trucks from steel to aluminum to offset weight for better fuel efficiency. This is important since safety light bars typically are mounted with magnets, and this simply doesn't work with aluminum. For this reason, I would have to have the light bar permanently mounted by drilling holes in the roof and essentially taking apart the headliner and installing wires, etc. Most aftermarket parts distributors did not have the ability to do this in their shops (or perhaps did not want to). The first shop I was working with could do this, but wanted over $700 for the installation. At over 1k, I figured I should save my company the dough and shop around. AVP installs safety/emergency equipment for nearly all of the federal, state, county, and city law enforcement, fire and fleet vehicles, thus I knew right away this would be my choice. My initial estimate was around $700 for the strobe light bar and installation, so I was really pleased with the overall cost. The light bar was a bit pricier than what was available at the first business I was working with, but because the installation was significantly less, I was still really pleased. AVP ordered the light bar quickly and was ready to install when the inevitable happened. Apparently the new Fords make it even more difficult to install any kind of permanent mounting-there is an airbag in the headliner-essentially negating the ability to mount the dang thing. Because of their concern with keeping my vehicle safe, AVP immediately notified me of the dilemma and provided me with a second option. I was told that a company recently released a mount that enables a light bar to be attached without having to permanently alter my truck and that the mount would be 100% attached with the ability to remove and mount on a different vehicle if needed. Overall, this option made even more sense than the first because I do not always need to have an amber light for my work. The mount was not cheap; it was an additional $400+ and would still require installation, thus bringing my grand total to over $1k (which I wanted to avoid, but clearly was not an option). Because I really had no choice, I accepted and AVP ordered the part. The mount took a bit longer than anticipated to be delivered and I was getting a bit worried since I needed the light bar installed ASAP. AVP did not fail to deliver on this account, in fact, they offered to have someone stay late on a Friday to install it for me since I really couldn't wait any longer. The owner, Gary, also offered to drive me home and pick me up when the truck was ready so I wouldn't have to wait for hours at the shop. That was a really nice way to go above and beyond for a new customer. In closing, AVP did a phenomenal job from start to finish with the overall handling of my request, and with the final installation of the amber light bar. The mount looks fantastic and was incredibly well done. I do not have enough good things to say about Gary and his team and would highly recommend this local business.

Waited a week for the guy after all the excuses because he sounded like an honest man. He tells me…read morethe tow truck will come tomorrow and then shows up out of no where 30minutes later. He then tried to bait and switch on the payment after offering $250. The tow truck driver "only has a check." Recycling companies are notorious for paying with check that bounce. All they need as the title signed and they got all the leverage. He said "just take picture of my truck" which I could not find the company on google maps. The guy acts like he is leaving then bust out $225 cash and said that's all he can I offer. I say no the offer is $250. He then pretends to leave again and then comes back with an offer of $225 plus $25 check but at this rate all trust is gone. Every one of these companies use the same shady tactics. Edit: updated with google review response. My phone records all calls and gives a transcript of the conversation as well. I told you how companies like peddle offer checks and they end up bouncing and you said that's fine cause we pay cash. Look at the sass and disrespect in his response. This looks like a dishonest man caught in a lie to me. This is the man y'all are doing business with. I'd recommend looking elsewhere.
