Was in town for eclipse with RV. Water pump decided to go on Dodge pickup. Able to make it to HK when it finally blew in their parking lot. We expected to have to leave the truck a few days, but no. Instead they took our truck immediately to the bay, gave us a tour of the shop , which in itself was the cleanest one we've ever been in, then brought us back to our RV, and in return offered to pick us up when truck was finished - all within 3 hours time. Took my car in for a oil leak in the front of my car just behind the bumper. They, said they couldn't find it! But they charged me $367 to replace bolts in the rear end of my car above my axle instead of addressing the problem that I had taken it in for.. I did not have a leak in the back of my car, and there was no recall although Honda did mention the bolts could be problematic. I went back a few days later as it was still leaking oil, they said they still couldn't find the leak!. Took the car to a different mechanic yesterday and they located the leak right away. I have photos to prove it. Called Hk yesterday to let them know that another mechanic located the leak, I ask to speak to the mechanic that worked on my car and was told by the GM that it was the most likely the owner and he would not speak to me... this tells me everything I need to know!! My dad has known John and Harold for a pretty long time. I took my car to 2 places in town and was told 2 different problems. I then took it to HK and they told me the actual problem. Saved me around $800 from the quotes the other places. I go to them for oil changes-because they actually check the other fluids and filters-unlike other places in town. I recommend them to everyone! Called ahead to H K Auto to see if they could take me without an appointment when coolant wasn't circulating and my engine was about to blow up, a nice man named John answered and said to come in and he'll see what he could do. Turns out that the water pump was clogged and the serpentine belt was worn and that was stopping the coolant circulation. After considering parts and labor, I paid a fair amount compared to other places that charge exorbitant prices and my car ended up being fixed that same day. So far no problems. read more

Run away. Safety inspection was "everything's good." Brakes completely failed. Spent a lot for brake fix. Failed again, totally. No ability to stop. Different shop said they're using cheap parts that corrode easily. They did. Someone will get killed because of their incompetence. read more

I called them after calling a local shop I had used in the past after for a no crank no start issue on an older Jeep. A friend recommended them(HK) as he had a car that would not start earlier in the year and he could not have been happier. I called the other place at 7 am Tuesday, and by 2pm I had heard nothing back, no wrecker to pick up my car, nothing. I called HK, they gave me a name of the wrecker service they use(Columbus Towing and Recovery? also excellent price and service), called them and within 20-30 minutes my car was picked up, and i'm in another county just west of Columbus, to my amazement. I called back this afternoon as I think Kyle is who I talked to, and he had told me they would be able to look at it and maybe get to it by Thursday. I then got a call today, Wednesday at 3 that it was ready, just a minor issue, super fair price and they were easy to talk to about other issues I have been having with my car and gave me some quotes. Don't trust your car with these rip-off characters. I worked as a mechanic for many years in a quality facility and I know what to look for and what to look out for. Decided to have these guys take a look at replacing a leaking radiator in my 2012 Dodge Stratus. Pretty easy and quick repair. The guy up front seemed to talk the talk but then I watched the bozos pull my car in and mess around with it. Forget the grease they left on the steering wheel and shifter that'll wipe off but the grease on the seats was ridiculous. Then refused to clean it. Scratched the fender with an air ratchet. I had to go into the shop and ask that they cover the fender first. Again refused to admit to the scratches right where I watched them lay the tool! Estimated $135 total for the repair then up'd the labor charge because I it took longer since I asked to be more careful. I wrote a check for the original estimate and left with me car. Oh and yep, they didn't tighten either hose clamp so I had puddles of coolant in my garage the next morning. Do not put your vehicle in these loser's hands!!! They should be investigated. I also over heard one on the managers talking about one of there more attractive female customers and it was not an easy thing to listen to. I wish I had conveyed the conversation to her now but she had already left after dropping off her car while I was dealing with the other buffoons. stay away!!! read more

We have been going to HK for last few years. They have reduced to experimenting with replacing parts rather the getting to the root cause of the problem. I guess it profitable model but lacks responsibility. They found a connector was bad on my car and my wife told that the problem. Instead of replacing the connector they tried to fix it and gave my wife impression that it would last a year or two before connector were to be replaced. When wife went back after 3 day with same problem they connector had to replaced and they wanted additional labor. When we questioned why they were charging Kanpur again, Harold the owner tried to justify $80 they charged was for diagnosis when my wife had already told them about a loose connection. They should have replaced connector in first place. When asked Harold about other repairs that were done he referred that talk to John. When I tried talk to John over phone I was not allowed to do so. They kept on repeating to look at the Bill even when they knew I was out of country. There was no transparency and accountability dealing with Harold. I am very disappointed with them. I regret recommending them to my colleagues in past. read more
