The entire repair process was questionable. The washer was sold as 10 year major components 5…read moreyears full warranty. 4 years in it stops spinning at high speed. I called the warranty/ Maytag number and am told that since I didn't purchase the Lowes "extended" warranty I was out of luck! Excuse me, what part of 5 years parts & labor from Maytag (its the Commercial model) would have me buy a 3 year overlapping warranty. But, Mr Appliance sent a tech. He listened to it running for about two minutes, said "Ive never heard that sound before?" And tells me the motor is out, ran no codes or any troubleshooting? Came back in with the estimate of $768. To fix a washer UNDER WARRANTY. ($975. Washer, 4 years old.) They charged me $125 for the service call but we're "supposed" to deduct it from my final bill. Ended up costing me 570 More to have them fix it . He replaced a perfectly good motor (and took the old one with him, even when I asked for it to be left, since I bought it. He ended up using process of elimination to decide it was the plastic gear and he "happened" to have a spare... for $80. Once that one piece went in. Ran perfectly. No break 9n the bill, no warranty help from Maytag. Didn't even deduct the $125 at the end. Done fighting both.. cut my loses and just let everyone know to avoid Both. Especially Maytag washers.

We asked that old dish washer be put in the garage. When we came home, old dish washer was gone. When I called the store to ask, where my old dish washer was at. The owner responds with "unfortunately, it's already gone". I would not recommend doing any business with this company. This incident will be reported to the Better Business Bureau. I'm giving these guys a 5-Star review. This place is right on the price and right on service. If…read moreyou're like me, I was questioning, "Isn't Sears going out of business"? Yes. "Well, isn't that going to present a problem?"- NO. The Kenmore brand or any of the brands they carry, Maytag, GE, Whirlpool,.. they got them all,.. Are not going out of business! Sears May go bust but that had nothing to do with the Hometown store. There is no shortage of parts, or any other issue that made me hesitant. A couple months ago I purchased a range at a Lowe's. That experience was torturous, it literally took 3 hours to buy an electric range that was sitting right there on the floor! It took 3 different ( mostly inexperienced),.. I could write a book about the layers of incompetence,..no time for that now. So when my microwave went out I dropped into Sears Hometown Store and Bam! I was in & out in less than 15 minutes. The next week I thought wonder if I can get a freezer! Bam! Took less than 15 minutes and the home delivery was set up. Have a nice day! Go do something other then herd the clowns around at Big Box.
