Recently, I only needed a couple items so I did curbside pickup. Should be easy enough right? Wrong. I hate their parking lot even more now because the curbside spaces are in the MIDDLE of it! Every other nearby one has curbside located on one of the sides of the building. When I finally realised the spaces were in the middle, there was only 1 open one... and soon I saw why as I watched at least 3 cars park and go into the store! Ughhh. Sat there for at least 10 minutes waiting. Oh did I mention you'll encounter some of the most idiotic drivers in Galveston county here too? I almost got into 2 accidents in that dumbazz parking lot on that trip alone. NEVER AGAIN.

I had to go next door to Advance Auto Parts for batteries, since Kroger was out of the size needed. Their produce section left a lot to be desired. I was happy that their sandwich game was pretty much impeccable. I found some good sandwiches here. The beer selection was below average. A few Houston breweries, all the national brands and a few imports. Meh. I got some 8th Wonder here, which was good. They had narrow aisles and help was nowhere to be found. At least the check out process was fast and easy. There's a Starbucks up in this store, but I didn't check that out. Instead, I went for the Kroger brand coffee-like drinks. Gah. Every once in a while, I even attempt to hide my tics if I have to for less than a minute. However, something that still surprises me after 24 years is when strangers have the audacity to mock me. In public especially. I walked in 10 minutes before closing to buy some soap. As I used the self checkout line, one of the employees looked at me directly in the eye, smiled, and then attempted to make the same sound I just made from a tic. I wasn't even the only person there. I guess she thought it was funny enough for an audience. I've seen just about every reaction possible to my tics. I'm willing to think that the employee truly thought it was a harmless joke because she helped me find the soap and told me goodnight afterwards. But seriously? Did no one ever teach her basic decency? Do better next time.

I found some good deals with in-store coupons. I scanned 2 coupons and it had a validation problem. The self check out attendant was able to clear it. But I can't scan the 3rd coupon because I forgot to ring it up. So, he came over and did something. After I completed the transaction and found no coupons were used. I asked him what happened to the coupons. He said they were already applied. I didn't have time to argue with him. After I got home, I checked my photos. Bull fuvking shit!!' Such a liar. I could have saved $3.50 with coupons. I'm not going to drive 50 miles to talk to someone in Clear Lake H-E-B for adjustment. I'm not going back to shop in Clear Lake anymore. After these 2 incidents, I'll skip to the next town or just do my shopping in Houston. I'm so angry. I still have to get to an H-E-B store get these figured out.

I made the mistake of coming to this location after I noticed Aldi was closing at 8:00 PM. They…read morewere severely understaffed. The aisles were close together, but groceries weren't easy to be found. I had to search high and low to locate things on my list due to the organization of the store and I'm so used to shopping at the location in Friendswood. The store prices were pricier than the location in Friendswood. I didn't care for that. The Asian/International aisle was popping because they had everything under the sun for spring roll preparations. I found my Maggi sauce, sweet soy sauce, and canned bean sprouts. However, when it came time to check out; there was a line from the front of the store to the bakery aisle for the self-checkout. There was long lines for the regular lines. It was only three workers holding down the whole store. Now, that's ridiculous. I met with this very kind self-checkout employee. She was very sweet and helped me clean the self-checkout kiosk since it wasn't ringing up my items properly and kept giving me issues each time I scanned my groceries. After this experience, I'll be avoiding this location like the plague.
