Pro Tip for the soda machine, since this dispenses all the soda from one tap, you can select water and run water through it before dispensing your soda. If you ever get that annoying flavor of strawberry, grape, tea, or some energy drink in your soda, this is how you get it out. This is a good store, just as good as the one when you first come into town by the loop from Houston. The store is brand new as of the summer of 2023, the people are nice I do recommend. What also makes this nice is if you want to get on the other side of the highway because there's a medium with no crossovers, it's at a light where you can do a U-turn. The town of Seadrift , not…read moremuch more than a hiccup of a town, does not have many businesses and this is the only store that is open 24 hours. Having to do some work in the area I had to stay in town and do work both day and night here. I stopped in here in the middle of the night to quench my thirst after a long shift. The clerk was quite friendly and struck up a conversation with me and another customer ( her husband I later found out) that was in the store at the same time ( 4 AM. ). She asked me what I was doing in the area and then pointed out some of the better restaurants in town for meals, then pointed out where the better lodging establishments were. I later went into the store again on 2 more occasions and each time I was greeted and treated with the same sort of small town charm and friendliness that someone would expect to find if Maybury had been a seaside town. This convince store was a breath of fresh gulf air to rejuvenate anyone after being in a big city and becoming accustomed to the hustle and bustle that normally brings to life.
