For a local gas station/convience store this is a good place to go. The town of Seadrift , not much more than a hiccup of a town, does not have many businesses and this is the only store that is open 24 hours.
Having to do some work in the area I had to stay in town and do work both day and night here. I stopped in here in the middle of the night to quench my thirst after a long shift. The clerk was quite friendly and struck up a conversation with me and another customer ( her husband I later found out) that was in the store at the same time ( 4 AM. ). She asked me what I was doing in the area and then pointed out some of the better restaurants in town for meals, then pointed out where the better lodging establishments were.
I later went into the store again on 2 more occasions and each time I was greeted and treated with the same sort of small town charm and friendliness that someone would expect to find if Maybury had been a seaside town.
This convince store was a breath of fresh gulf air to rejuvenate anyone after being in a big city and becoming accustomed to the hustle and bustle that normally brings to life. read more
