This is where I get my meat and groceries first. I also get items delivered when I'm pressed for time and they always have really good shoppers and delivery people. I love how neat and clean everything usually is. I frequently order from their sushi and deli. I've never had anything from here that wasn't excellent. I also like their ready-to-cook meals. I will tell you that the meat, you sometimes have to cook about 5 minutes longer than what it says on the package, but if you go by cooking temperature, it turns out delicious. Quality off food control has gone down drastically. Bloated chicken, expired bread, bad fruit. Service has gone down as well. Cashiers not paying attention. They rather talk to baggers about bs than what's going on with the customer in front of them. Place is dirtier than last week. I thought maybe they were so busy they hadn't gotten a chance to clean, but apparently they just got lazy. Today was empty and place was very messy and dirty. Tempted to call health inspector. This is the worse it's been, HEB. Get on your people, please. read more

That's best deli department I've ever seen so well organized very fresh salads and foods service is impeccable and the employees are always ready to help. The produce and meat department are one of my favorites always fresh meats the manager of the department is always ready to give me exactly what I want for years I've been joyed the store over 20 years. I love all the fresh and will organize protest I look for to go in there in spring summer times. And of course the gas prices are always hard to beat I'm always filling up my vehicles there. The gas pump was broken and there was no sign stating so. It was clear after it spilled everywhere that it had already happened to others. Gas all over the ground, our vehicle, and our hands. Plus they didn't have any vegetarian sushi even though everything else looked very stocked and there was a section for it. read more

This is by far the best grocery store in Big Spring. Keep in mind that the only other option is walmart. That said, this location recently went through a renovation a few years ago and with that it lost one of the better things it had to offer, the deli. They still make the scrumptious rotisserie chickens, occasional tamales, and sausage on a stick, but they don't make lunch plates or fresh brisket anymore. The meat market is better than walmart's market. The produce is better than walmart's produce. The pharmacy is better than walmart's pharmacy. The selection of organic products is 100% better than walmart's organic options. Need I say more? The quality of the walmart store is so terrible it makes HEB look good in comparison. Not to say that HEB is not good. It just needs some improvement. The chain of stores has a great reputation for quality store brands and a nice shopping atmosphere. The atmosphere is what needs to be improved at this location. I wish they would improve the cleanliness of the restrooms and parking lot. Also, the aisles seem cramped, like they are trying to fit too much product into the store. They also have a splendid assortment of traditional Mexican foods, candies and drinks. read more

Very unhappy with this HEB. Produce is below expectations, as are meat and seafood sections. On 3 separate occasions I have purchased a dairy product and discovered it was spoiled after arriving home. Problem with refrigeration, perhaps? No way I will take a chance on buying eggs here! J The thing that bothers me most is the treatment I have received from the employees. On several occasions I have been told that posted sale signs are wrong. One particular cashier reacts to coupons as though the money will be deducted from her check. This unit rates far below my experience with the HEB chain. HEB needs to either make vast improvements in Big Spring or close it up. This unit has considerably lowered my opinion of this company. I have shopped at HEB for 25+ years and have spent thousands of dollars there. I will now go to Porters, the new store in town. Prices are higher, but the service and produce are worth it!x read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. Workers are rude. Never have sale items on shelf, especially meat. Sometimes I have made 4 trips to try and get an item. I am done, if I can help it, I will not be going back to this store. Very poor customer service. read more

I have family members that have gone to het gas, since they have handicap placard they prefer to use the handicap pump, on more than one occasion there has been a motorized shopping cart blocking the lane so they would either have to park at another pump or get gas somewhere else. There is a gas station attendant that always blocks that lane when she works it. read more

Most popular HEB in Texas and should be, I shop here alot and can honestly say I love the prices, people, and service. I also use the pharmacy there and while sometimes they can be slow, I don't sweat it because I shop during the wait to find amazing sales they have all the time. While walking around pulls you in to being prey to a full cart, you'll soon be satisfied to see you saved more money for good quality items than most of the competitors. Baskets also being important are far better than Walmarts, being that most work without faulty wheels or squeaks. Overall I love HEB. read more

Only grocery store in town, other than Walmart. The prices on some of the products are great, while other items are way too expensive. The only reason I am rating a 4 star is because of their pharmacy. It is horrendous! They never have the prescriptions needed and after waiting in line for close to 20 minutes, they have you sit down and wait again...I've waited for 30 minutes for a 3 day hold over until the Rx came in. read more

They have gotten a lot better since the remodel. I wish the fruit and vegetables were more fresh, they always seem to spoil quickly (other HEBs that I have been to have amazing fruit and vegetables). Customer service is amazing and everyone is super helpful! read more

This maybe the best grocery store for 40 miles. Imo it is! People are friendly, helpful & show a genuine kind nature. The fruit is always nice with a big variety. Ordered my sons cupcakes for school. They made them very cute & age appropriate. I explained my son was autistic & this was his first school party bcz the day never falls right. They exceeded my expectations. read more
