The carport was delivered and installed yesterday and to square it there is 11" of the frame that is off of the concrete with 11" over on the other corner. He put footer pairs in to be able to secure the carport but because it's not square the footer pairs don't line up on 1 side. He was also supposed to come back and backfill the area around the pad that they dug out 3' bigger around the pad and was supposed to do a grade off the back side so it would be drivable off of it because it had a 6" drop off. He didn't come back and back fill or do the grade off the back. He requires payment when cement is poured not when job is complete. Thank goodness my husband has a tractor and he was able to backfill it without having to hire someone else to do it. Most homeowners don't own tractors!

Perhaps the most egregious problem was the replacement shingles used for the repairs (a section approx 30'x20'). Not only didn't the shingles match - they were a completely different color ( the shingles on the roof are GAF Timberline shades of black - her replacement shingles (according to her husband a co-owner) are not GAF but another brand that are bluish gray. We were never shown these replacements until the job was finished - her excuse they do not make my color of shingles. So I checked with a GAF REP who informed that yes not only fid they still make my shingles but GAF has six different shades of black in the Timberline style. I feel quite strongly that she emptied out her roofing yard on us rather than pay for the correct shingles. The final straw, she said the new shingles would fade to match - highly doubtful that black shingles will fade to blue. - that would be some miracle and to add insult to injury her husband tried two or three different excuses until he finally just said "well you will just have to live with them cause I am not tearing them off". Gee another satisfied customer!! Word to the wise, I would avoid this roofing contractor at all costs. Don Josi

Then when asked if they will replace this cost they denied that they ever even used your power. What a lying crooked company. The owner then claimed if it had happened he would have stopped it. Ok, how? When? At what point? And what were you going to use as your power source for all those power tools with cords? Even the compressor needed to be powered. We stumbled upon Blaine Construction through a google search and excellent reviews and I am so glad we did. I contacted them and scheduled a day for them to come out to assess the damage, discuss the rebuild and most importantly help with the insurance claim. David and Jesse came out the same week and were extremely enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the entire process. They showed me pictures, explained next steps and brought ideas that I wasn't even thinking of. Within a few days they began the process of ordering kitchen counters, the countertop and flooring.
