Whereas I had called six other places in Salem, desperate for correspondence, I finally called AAA, even though they are far from me. And yet, they called me back, & in just a day's time! (Just to mention-- only 2/6 that I had called bothered to call me back. I wish I could mention their names here. Coronavirus will be over soon, & all of those "non-callers" will be starving for biz... and I hope AAA gets all the biz!) The big thing to consider is that my job was very small!! It was a $200 job, and I let every place that I called know this in my voicemails and emails. That is why I was so impressed with these people. I was even more impressed that they were willing to squeeze me in, even though I am a 20 minute drive for them. Jakob was mindful of masking and social distancing, and explained his routine on keeping his equipment sanitary between house calls. And what they did to my carpets? Unbelievable. I never dreamed my carpets could look so new and clean! It has been since 2010! Don't call anybody else, call these guys.

What started out as a small bathroom remodel turned into a much bigger project since lots of plumbing needed to be rearranged, walls moved around, etc. I now have an Absolutely Beautiful bathroom with a gorgeous tiled shower, and laundry room that isn't in a closet anymore. I really enjoyed working with him and his guys. Fun experience.

They listened patiently while I obsessed about my situation and sent an electrician out later that day. He was also very patient, listened while I tried to decide which switches to use for the job ( they would have supplied toggle replacements but this is an old house and I had purchased push buttons) He replaced with my choice of push button switches and told me how to place the face plate which was coming in a few days. Would gladly use them again next time I wonder out of my knowledge base.

Scott quoted me 600-1500, and asked to come out the next day, not even looking at where I lived on a map. I couldn't do the next day and requested the following week, and he asked to come over the weekend. Then he increased his estimate by more than double, and made it sound like he was giving me a deal when he shaved a couple hundred off. After a lot of back and forth, he ended up saying he was coming and then not showing up just about 5 days in a row after realizing I lived further away than he thought and making excuse after excuse . He'd say he was coming, and text me 10 minutes before he said he'd be at my house telling me it wasn't happening, like I hadn't rearranged my entire day expecting him. To top all of this off, today I had to file a dispute against him with my credit card, because he's as of yet refused to refund me the $750 deposit he made me give him. He pushed me repeatedly to pay him via venmo or cash and now I'm SO happy I didn't because you can't dispute those payment methods. In the end, I got a different company to do the work for $2000, a full grand less than Scott quoted and it was done cleanly, quickly, and without issue. I would be extremely wary of hiring this company, they do not have it together.
