A very long story made short - Unfortunately on 2 occasions over the last year I dealt with staff who although seemed helpful, obviously did not know what they were doing with my situation. Fortunately on 2 other occasions I was welcomed to H&R block by Valerie T. She listened attentively and patiently to my situation and dealt with it promptly, professionally and properly. Any business that has people like Valerie T. working for them should consider themselves blessed. Well I get Berlie Stork to do my taxes from h and r downtown Red Dear. I worked in USA and ended up with tax bills in plus of 18 thousand now is 4400 she fights and wins. And I'm not from anywhere close to Red Dear or Alberta but she is smarter and capable and helping me keep my wealth to raise my children. I will always get her. read more

I will never go back to h&r block in red deer. I ended up owing $2000 on my taxes which I understand because I did some extra work over the year but when it came to paying H&R block, I owed them $384 which is robbery. I do not recommend their services to anyone. read more

I had HR Block do my 2016 & 2017 returns. Now I'm being audited because the gov't is questioning my dependents. I called the office to set up an appointment to go over what I'm sending to Revenue Canada to ensure it's correct. It's a $4000 penalty if it's not right. I was told over the phone by a very dismissive and rude woman that this check would cost me extra money. Where is the customer service and the assurance that if I had any issues they would be there for me? I won't use them again. read more

Please always ask for a fee quote prior to your appointment. They charge more the closer to deadline day. A whole lot more! My last visit but I was naive as well. Simple return but donations up your cost as well. Be wary! read more

Second year going to this location and I had the lady of twenty years yelling at me because I was asking too many questions about my taxes (first year having to claim my student loans). This girl got mad because the person that did my taxes last year gave me the wrong information about my schooling, ironically it was her. When I went to let the front desk to let them know, the guy with purple hair just laughed and shrugged. I've always had problems with H&R but that was the final straw. I strongly recommend going somewhere that isn't H&R. read more
