I've served on Board meetings and have continue to do an excellent job as a professor. Four Tax Seasons of Hostile Work Environment at HR Block has made me not comfortable. I worked in three different tax offices. Two of them have not been pleasant experiences. The main office that I have been at is HR Block, 135 W Nuevo Road, Perris, CA 92571
in 2018, 2020, and 2021. I left this office which was Franchise in 2018 and worked for the district in 2019. The office I worked in the district is HR Block 9348 Magnolia Avenue, Riverside, CA 92503. I ended up getting a hard time and making my life miserable working for the manager. The office manager in 2019 was a female, but she left the district. She never cared to help me all tax season, and also gave me a hard time. In fact, she offered a potluck dinner at the office on the last day of work. That same day I had severe diarrhea, and told the district office manager and the office manager in the La Sierra office what happened to me. After doing an excellent job during the 2019 tax season, she purposely gave me a nasty evaluation and decided not to hire me from the district. It was not until several months later the district reached out to me and asked me to come back and learn that the female manager is not part of the district anymore. There was another female hispanic hostile co-worker who everyone knew had an attitude problem and was difficult to work with in that Magnolia office. I got called back in 2020 to teach a Fall class in 2019 and the manager wanted me to work for him in 2020. So I did and I gave him another chance. One time he took his stress out on me and falsely accused me of something I did not do, but he called me back in his office and implied it is not my fault. He sold this office to corporate and now in 2020. He nows have a new manager, but a very short lady who has a bad attitude and gets stressed out and is probably under pressure she cannot handle. It is the same manager from the comment Michelle R. posted below. She normally has been coming to the Perris office with a sour personality. I ended up having a new co-worker who is an elderly lady. She seems like a trouble-maker and is looking for ways to get me into trouble. She must have some grudge on me. I even overheard the past manager getting into arguments using foul language with another elderly retired man in that office. The main problem is the people who come and work at these offices come with a stressful and our attitude. Ever since Day 1, I opened the doors to HR Block, I came in peace. But these people and some other people in these offices in the Riverside county area like to come to work and argue, complain, and ABOVE ALL bully other people around. Their bad attitudes have never changed and are abusing their positions of powers by giving people a hard time. I worked hard at HR Block these past 4 seasons. I studied hard and leveled up to Level 5 last year. I do a lot of research on publications, forms, and tax laws. However since my 4 years there, I still do not know how to do amended returns. I still do not know how to open and close the cash registrar or run the front desk. I'm the one of very and I mean very few people who cleans up the office, vacuums, and keeps the place nice and neat. I noticed other people do not care and leave a mess. Although doing an excellent job, that new short manager took all her stress out on me. She probably does not care since she is going to move to Arizona one day. I've been asking my District Manager to put me into a different office, but for now he chooses not to. Every time I enter the office in Perris, the place is not organized and people are not doing their jobs. The place was not organized even when it was Franchise. I also noticed one time in the morning someone did not turn off the OPEN sign light which was outside and again people not taking out the trash and leaving a mess in the office. I wanted to start the year with a positive strong attitude and still put a smile on my face ready to go to work. But no matter what every time I go, miserable people enter these offices and spoil other peoples happiness. It is like they are asking for trouble. I remember I did an excellent job teaching an Income Tax Course in the Fall 2019. She got hired during tax season 2020. But she never came back. Based on my observations of other people who used to work in this district in Riverside, I noticed they decided to not come back. The people there enjoy fighting and have attitude problems. Another major problem is there is a lack of proper training. So sometimes I get confused what I'm supposed to do and what I'm not supposed to do. I have received about 18-19 5 STAR RATINGS from clients, but I could not work there due to a hostile work environment the last three weeks. No one cared to check up how I was doing or cared if they wanted me back. The people there seemed like they cared about themselves and paychecks. read more
