At times the office assistants seem unknowledgeable, but they are always professional and usually get the requested tasks accomplished. My bigger complaint is the constant rate increases, for perfect drivers (ZERO accidents, tickets, or claims in over 20 years!). On top of the rate increases (the most recent is 15% at renewal) my agent offers garbage excuses for the gouging like: "electric vehicles cost more to repair". Well I don't own those, nor have I collided with one, so why am I being penalized? Also, does State Farm really want me to believe these costs have increased specifically in conservative South Carolina? I would bet there are Waaayyyyy less Teslas, Lucids, and Rivians here in SC per capita than most other places, so that shouldn't be impacting my premiums! The final straw; When I asked Jay Killen directly why I should continue doing business with him, his exact, verbatim response: "If that's truly how you feel, I'm not sure why you should stay." I've started getting quotes and intend on leaving Killen's office before the month is over!!! Maybe State Farm should stop paying the Kansas City Chiefs for advertising and spend that money on more customer centric agents? Either way, Jay Killen will be in the rear-view mirror!

I would not recommend doing any business with this person. Very unprofessional and rude especially in a space as crowded as home and car insurance.

I started with 4…read morevehicles and home owners - I have never missed a payment or had a lapse .....the agency removed a vehicle IN ERROR from my policy , I drove that vehicle for about 2 months without insurance unknowing because I was still being billed and paying as If it was covered - to make things worse , it was the vehicle that had full coverage....allegedly they "fixed it " only to find out later that they in fact removed ANOTHER vehicle ....this time , it caused a lapse !!!!! The amount of times I have called and been patient , respectful and trusting that my agency would work to correct things is RIDICULOUS....their rep "Matt" tried - he really did . But things went beyond his scope . "Mrs B" did nothing but ACT LIKE she was going to get things handled - promising to return calls and sort things out - none of which she ever done .....I have left voicemails and asked specifically to speak to Mr.Gallant ....think he reached out ....NOPE ! Clearly customer service is DEAD HERE ! They don't appreciate your business and do not work to assist you in any manner ! Today was the final straw - while on route to the agency I finally decided to just call and switch companies all together. I don't care what the commercial says - if you are choosing an agency to "be like a good neighbor and be there " ....STAY AWAY FROM ANTHONY GALLANT's agency !!!!!!!

He was very patient and kind and reassured us through the process and even helped out by giving us options on car rental agencies in our area. Best part is our policy increased minimally...as in we didn't even need to account for the extra premium amount in our budget. We liked and appreciated his service to us so much, we suggested our church use him as the new insurance agent when the church decided to switch to a new insurance company. p.s.
