Unreliable at best, dishonest at worst…read more I reached out to Mike (company owner) as a returning customer in January of 2025 to inquire about a somewhat complicated international personal tax situation. I did this to ensure I would have plenty of time to prepare and hopefully avoid extra charges by waiting. I have an accounting background, and essentially served up everything he needed to make this filing as straightforward as possible. During the 2 or 3 phone calls we had in February and March, Mike always stated he would address the filing, "in the next week" and never indicated any sort of problem or concern. He could never indicate how much he was going to charge me after asking him several times, which should have been a red flag for me, but I just wanted it finished so I ignored my gut. After multiple missed deadlines I was completely abandoned with no communication or progress. Completely radio silence. (unreliable) Mike uses a secure portal that allows you to see activity, and of all the files and info I uploaded, many were never opened or viewed by him. The last time I spoke with Mike was March 10th. Since then I have called 4 times, left 2 voicemails, and sent him an email with ZERO responses. Since Mike is an old man, I started to worry that something may have happened to him. I had a friend call his number, and Mike answered on the first ring, and indicated he had "plenty of availability to take on new customers"... (dishonest). Mike's unreliability and dishonesty put me into a situation where I had to scramble to find another accountant 1 week prior to the deadline and pay a premium to do so. If you are still not convinced to spend your money elsewhere, consider the following: Mike always talks with a tone of frustration and aggression; talking to him is never a calm or relaxing experience and after every call I felt like I had just had a heated argument with an overly opinionated uncle. His views are antiquated and he's never hesitant to share them. Look at his website - he is quick to tout his faith and honesty and yet he is perfectly okay being dishonest. For someone who has made a career out of accounting and math, this simply doesn't add up. Go somewhere else, you'll thank me.

I submitted the information for my taxes a month and a few days before Tax Day (4/18). I didn't hear anything for a couple of weeks and then called. A call shortly after that then came to me saying that taxes would be processed soon (over a weekend, that night - statements like this). I was a little annoyed but finally was contacted by the main accountant and told that my taxes were finished, and he needed a copy of my driver's license and bank account numbers where we would like a refund deposited. I continued to wait and again told statements like the above (over a weekend, the next day, we will call you,), but still, no one called. Finally, I was panicking. It was getting too close to tax day, and I wanted to go over the taxes myself before submitted. This is the first time I have let someone else prepare my taxes. I left a message saying, ("if they haven't been done, don't do them"). The next day , I received a call from who I thought was the office manager. She said that my taxes were done now, and she needed a driver's license and bank account numbers! I was distraught. Why was I asked for the same information I sent 2 weeks earlier?! I canceled the order and did the taxes myself. At least I could finally be at peace knowing they were correct and processed. I'm sure the accountants in this business are very competent and excellent at their job, but going through the online portal and waiting for a response have been frustrating and caused a great deal of stress for my wife and me. This is the reason you go to accountants in the first place; so you can be assured your taxes are done correctly and without the stress.

I previously always did my taxes on my own, and spent forever trying to read up on any changes in the tax laws. I am self-employed, but felt like I had a good handle on it. I had made errors and had to make corrections in the past. It was never an easy process. Since meeting this team, I have saved money and learned that I did not know all of the law, nor could I keep up as they do. Last year, I decided to do my taxes "on my own" and see how I'd come out, and then brought my information into the office for my appointment. We called and were added on about 1.5 months before taxes were due. They were pretty full then, so if you want taxes done, make sure you don't wait until the last minute here. After dropping off our materials, they were finished in about 1 week. Very quick, professional, and helpful along the way as this was our first experience not doing TurboTax. Had everything in a nice folder--near and tidy, and even had instructions on how to make your payment to the IRS. I would gladly take my business here again.
