I asked him to set up a payment plan with the IRS, which my previous accountant had done for me before. He said "That's alot of work for such a little amount of money" and I replied "Are you going to give me that money". When it was time for payment I took out my credit card and he advised that he only accepts cash or check. I told him that was inconvenient and I wish someone would have told me that in advance. He pointed me to some near ATMs and told me that he has saved $400,000 by not paying card processing fees. And I thought to myself that I really don't care how much this guy has saved. The fact is he saved a few bucks by not processing cards, but he lost a couple of hundred in repeat business for treating us like crap. He clearly was not comfortable with the fact that my husband and I were getting our taxes done as a gay couple and passed some rather conservative comments to us about politics and such about how government workers that weren't getting paid for the shutdown need to stop complaining about not getting paid. I would not suggest this guy. If your political views are in line with his you may have a better experience.

The website made it super easy to estimate how much it would cost based on what forms I needed, and I was able to schedule online and upload all of my documents to their secure site. Very reasonably priced service, friendly and helpful, and made the entire thing as stress-free as filing taxes can be. I'd give more than five stars if I could.

You can make the appointment right online so that makes it more convenient! Darren took the time to see if we would receive more money back if we filed jointly or separate which was nice to compare. Everything is saved online if you go through Acade Tax Services. Darren offered a Veteran discount as well. I was at counter, and I asked if we can count all that money somewhere in the office, or anywhere, but not directly on the counter, I was told it HAS to be there?!?! I told them I don't feel comfortable with all those people around but supervisor told me there is no other way?! I asked for manager, girl behind a counter told me manager will be with me shortly, but supervisor showed up again and told me manager will be busy for hours... I did withdrawal of bigger amount before in M&T bank branch, somewhere in Kenmore on Sheridan drive, and they even offer me armed escort. On 10/07/25, however, M&T permitted them to deduct another autopay, effectively wiping out my checking account. That was TEN days ago and my money STILL has not been restored to my account. All I've received is a barrage of lies and excuses. I am a senior citizen on a fixed income and very near the breaking point because of these sick, unprofessional hogs. My nerves are in ribbons as I face a weekend with no food, no gas, no nothing.
