During my visit, I encountered a situation that left me feeling discriminated against, and I also found the policy regarding price matching to be unclear. I believe that a transparent and inclusive shopping environment is crucial for customer satisfaction. Unfortunately, the incident I experienced did not align with these principles. I would appreciate it if their team could provide clarity on their price matching policy to avoid similar confusion in the future. I shop at many H&Ms in Georgia , NC and NYC and never had an issue with them matching the online prices. The "manager" Ava with all the piercings on her face was very rude. We were visiting Wilmington for the day and stopped at Mayfair Town Center to grab a bite to eat at Coqina Fishbar. We noticed up ahead, just a block or so was an H&M. My daughter was wanting to look for some more back to school clothes, so we went in. Her past experiences of visiting H&M have only been in shopping malls, so she was quite excited to visit this free standing H&M with 2 floors. On the 1st floor..we found ladies, accessories and denim. On the 2nd floor was men, accessories, denim and kids. Now that my kid is a tween she felt that the kids department styles were too baby and wanted to browse the ladies department. We weren't lucky in finding anything that she liked this visit but I would definitely consider shopping at this H&M whenever I am in the area again. read more

To say my experience this morning was TERRIBLE is an understatement. I'll start by saying the manager "Remi" didn't open the doors till 15 minutes after it was suppose to open. There was a good 20+ people waiting. She looked no one in the eyes, no apologies. Nothing. She then turns her back to everyone and goes to the registers. This is where it really started to get good. I had three items to return and her rudeness out the gate was next level. She was flippant, condescending, and very rude. She clearly couldn't do her job properly and was unable to find my receipt that was located in the app. You could tell she was getting more and more frustrated, and the tone of her voice was getting angrier. After she started scrolling through my receipts online, she then looks at me and tells me to put my email in the phone they had at the register because she couldn't find my purchases and it was taking too long. There was an issue with my email in the app so it wasn't going to work and I explained that to her, but she wanted to do it anyway, and when she realized I was right it made her more frustrated. At this point, I'm done dealing with her attitude, and I asked her for the manager, and she looked at me with a smile on her face and said "I am the manager" and then said in a smart tone "Why don't you bring your receipt in next time"! At that moment, I looked behind me to the long line of people and said "Are you hearing this lady"?! Everyone was speechless at her rudeness and at that point I told her I would be filing a complaint and that she deserved to be fired. I am a very understanding person as a business owner myself but nothing constitutes the manner in which I was treated. This "manager" is a joke let alone incompetent and I can guarantee I'm not the first or the last to complain. read more

I haven't bought much at this store but what I really support is their recycling of old clothes. The H&M Garment Collecting program is a global initiative that works to prevent unwanted clothes from going to landfills. They accept unwanted clothes by any brand, in any condition, at any store, every single day of the year. Simply hand in your bag of old clothes(do be considerate and make sure they are clean) at the cash desk and receive a coupon to use towards your next purchase in-store or online. All clothes collected by H&M are either reused, re-worn, or recycled with 0% going to landfill. I wish more businesses followed their example. read more

I like this store a lot! It's big, there were lots of sales going on. The employees were very helpful. Their clothes selection were very cute, trendy, and ready for the upcoming season. They had a good selection of shoes, accessories, bags, and lingerie. The only thing I didn't like was there seemed to have limited parking spots. We had to park around the back. read more

Every time I go in there (and my boyfriend) the employees treat every customer like an inconvenience. They KICK people out before they even close and police everyone to get out immediately at closing. The workers are all incredibly rude and treat us all like we shouldn't be there. This store is such a big supporter of ALL people shopping here. I'm apart of the Lbgtq+ community and I felt so welcome! The employees were so helpful by providing items that's matched my style I had picked out in store so perfectly! The pricing is WAY better than any other place selling the same item. I wish employees would communicate with the customers better, me and my wife went in for her to try some pants for an event and after we we're almost done one of the workers essentially kicked us out of the fitting room and her reason was "I can't have both of you in there one has to get out now". in a very rude way, after that she immediately walked away and rolled her eyes at us. and for further information me and my wife have shop at this store many times and use the same fitting room many times and this has never happened before. Totally the wrong way to treat a costumer, if she would have approached the situation in a different way it wouldn't have been an issue but being rude is not the way to handled customer. if you're having a bad day don't take it out on random people. read more

Not good customer service towards black people, the store as a whole. The customer in front of me received great customer service by Maxine at the reg. Maxine was very rude towards me, immediately told me to sit my items on the side then took her time to check me out. She made a mistake on my transaction and couldn't even apologize for her mistake, when she charged me for an item I wasn't getting. I asked her was everything thing right and she stated yes. she clearly made a mistak. The manager was no help, basically just rushed me out the store without hearing what I had to say. The store is clean, neat and well merchandised.I found lots of great items to try on and I purchased 4 shirts but the entire time I was shopping in the men's section ( 30 minutes) the female employee never greeted or offered assistance to me once. I came in after looking on line and was looking for specific things and she never even made eye contact even though I walked past her several times, with help I may have purchased more but I gave up on getting any service whatsoever. A male employee came up twice and also failed to greet or acknowledge me but was giving her direction, perhaps greeting and assisting a customer should have been the direction for both of them. I love H&M! I've been shopping in their stores since the early 90's. So glad that they are in the US now and finally opened a store in Wilmington!! When I was a kid on a budget this was my first stop for new outfits. A million years later this is a store that you can depend on to find the newest trends made with decent quality. The prices are wonderful and it's always surprising how much you can buy here. The selection is abundant, but the items in each selection are limited so you won't always find the same things in each store! This makes it even better (especially in a small place like wilmington) you won't see your outfit on every other person you run into. Cute clothes and accessories everywhere you look. This location had a great staff that was super helpful and friendly. I like to go in to pick up a few trendy pieces to work into my everyday wardrobe. It's easy and fun and the staff will help you put it all together if you need them to! read more
