I don't make a habit of hitting up H&M in my OWN city, so it's a bit peculiar that I found myself here while visiting Stockholm, but I kid you not, it is the ONLY place open after 6pm (at least within the 10 block radius that I searched).
I had a cabaret type event that evening and desperately needed nylons, because i'm a monster who killed her two pairs the first day of the visit. I had just left my showgirl squad at sound check and took to the city, figuring that it would be a short hop, skip and a jump to a place that sold tight...
Nope. Nope. Nope.
Stockholm, you're beautiful but mmmaaaannn, do you make a gal WORK for her after 6pm beauty fixes! H&M was the only place in the area open and that had nylons - so whatever I actually think of the brand, it gets a tip of the hat to that.
The staff were nice, the prices (as H&M usually is) were cheap and I picked up a scarf while I was there that I have been wearing non stop. But what was the nylon verdict? Though I love the fact that they offer a shade light enough for my pale self (my arms and my legs usually end up two colours when I wear nylons), I would not buy these again. The quality is meh. They looked... heavy? You could definitely tell I was wearing them, which is kind of the opposite of what you want with nude tights. I also grabbed two pairs, one being stay ups which were ugly as sin out of the package.
So though I applauld them for getting me out of a bind, I'll happily go back to avoiding H&M until the next fashion disaster. read more
