okay, fessing up that i learned about this hotel from Rick Steve's paris guidebook, but it is what i was looking for in terms of wanting a nice breakfast before walking all around chateau versailles. (btw, it's now 9euros, not the 8 mentioned in his book.) there's plenty to enjoy, just make sure you let the front desk clerk know you are there to partake of their breakfast. she'll accept payment then and there and let her cafeteria manager know. lotsa items, brace yourself for a continental/western breakie offering: thin large slices of ham (shoulder cut) w/thin rim of fat (eat at your own heart's risk, yummy tho...), spanish style tortilla, many cheeses, dark chocolate croissant and plain kind, raisin bread, pound cakes (one fruity, one chocolate, one ginger spiced), crepes, other pastries, coffee machine that makes espresso, american style drip, hot milk, hot water, etc. (free trade tea is offered.) there's a juice machine w/3 options, orange, apple, mixed that had orange/guave/pineapple flavors. breads aplenty: fresh baguette, whole grain loaf, country sourdough loaf- all wrapped in a napkin with large sharp knife for you to cut off as much as you would like. four types of bonne maman brand jam, large container of nutella, mini salted and sweet cream butters individually wrapped. sugar cubes offered are also individually wrapped. also many types of yogurt offered, whole milk or diet versions.
winner for me is that they put 12oz size solo cups by coffee machine with a sign that states for customers to continue to enjoy their coffee while on their way.
