New owners (9 years ago) have reinvigorated this Gasthaus. Some tweaks are simple, such as rebranding as "RamsAu: Das Gasthaus." Genius.
Other changes have converted this into another go-to place in Heilbrunn. They're now a Mecca for good wine, with a wine list that would make a Munich establishment proud. Decor too is still rustic, but upscale. Love the touch of up-cycled teacups for light fixtures. All while feeling like you're in a centuries-old Bavarian pub.
And the food! I got the sirloin. Oh. My. Soo good. I was born and raised in Texas. Texas steakhouses would have trouble competing with their steak.
It's a tad on the expensive side, but not overly. Simply means I won't be a regular. But I'll certainly return several times over the next four weeks. It's worth the splurge.
