My friend and I stopped by after visiting Starnberger See. We kept searching for a nice local spot and found this one online. It's secluded and quiet; definitely my type of restaurant. There's outdoor seating thats covered and benches under the trees on top of the hill. I didn't get a chance to see if there was any indoor seating available. The food is really good and the service is great. You have a nice view of Maisinger See from here. It would be the prefect place for a date, now that I think of it. There's also a playground for the kids. I definitely recommend checking it out if you're in the area.

They have a huge wine list with lots of excellent European and new world wines. They also have a nice selection of aperitif, liquors, schnapps and dessert wines. Be sure to ask the sommelier for recommendations of things not on the list. We chose the surprise 5 course menu for dinner. The chef came out and asked if anyone had specific food preferences or allergies and then went onto prepare our meal. The first course of a mushroom filled pasta with a celeriac purée was divine and tasted amazing. Every course after that was great too. I specially loved the beef main. It was beef cooked to perfection and tasted amazing. The dessert was freshly made Kaiserschmarrn and that with the multiple compotes that they make themselves was great. Service was very friendly however the later crew were less familiar with the wine list and we had to provide some guidance. They were super flexible as there was only a small number of guests there and we basically went from afternoon tea to dinner. A fabulous experience and loved the food here. It's great value for money including the wines. I would happily come here any day.
