There are two stories to this gem-the bottom level flows like a traditional retail store with items grouped by category- things like dishes, books, vinyl records and trinkets. Then the upstairs has sections that are mini stores within-likely vendors that bring their own goods to display. There are so many treasures here that you could easily spend a couple hours-or more-browsing about. My partner was on a quest to buy some cast iron and was able to find a good selection to choose from. If you're a treasure hunter, be sure to put this on your list of places to come peruse. My friends and I stopped here during our weekend together in Hurricane. This shop came highly recommended and I'm so glad we stopped! We initially visited on a Saturday and my last day in the area was the following Monday. I found myself regretting not purchasing a sign made of restored wood that fit the vibe of my new house perfectly. I ended up going back on Monday to purchase it. What can I say-i love antique shops. On vacation but still wanting to check out the goods. I brought a friend and we enjoyed this place tremendously spending at least 2 1/2 hours walking around contemplating our treasure purchases. You have to know your quality & prices because like most shops these had different seller booths with pricing all over the place. I actually carried stuff around and then would find something I liked better and some I didn't want to part with. The staff was friendly and would hold stuff behind the register so We could shop more hands free. Loved the rock selection A plus side of this shop was they have public bathrooms. Nice plus for those with small bladder's I was very happy with my new treasures for the garden. I will definitely come back when I travel to Hurricane. read more

A two story building that is truly a must see-to-believe vintage shopping experience. The vender booths in here have anything from posters to antique dishes to vintage toys to gently used clothing. My girlfriend and I are really into antiques so when we found this place, walking in was like walking into a cathedral of antique stores. Everything was in sections and on consignment. The first thing I found was signed hockey cards which I immediately rummaged through with the help of a blonde woman named Megan(?) (hope that I got that right). In the next section, I landed some ornaments which nailed the personal level that I always want for my Christmas tree. I also added another notch to my coin collection as I found one of three I needed to complete it. My girlfriend found a couple of things and we walked out of there pleased with our purchases. Wow!!! You seriously need to spend some time here, looking at all of the treasures. All different vendors, with a wide range of collectables and antiques. Even my husband found some things to buy. There really is too much to mention. I love Mason Jars and old Pyrex bowls. I found each, and the prices are really reasonable. Everything that I found was right at or just below the current value that I saw online. There is a parking lot, although it is a bit tight. Bathroom is inside as well. Most of the time I go into these stores the prices are outrageous; however, not at Gypsy Emporium. The Business is Very Clean & Neatly Organized. The Staff is Super Friendly, Helpful & Knowledgeable. For under $40 I purchased a pristine vintage wool USC banner, a cast iron golfing bank & an eclectic wooden sign.
