Also, my mom picked him up one day and I had to go out of my way to make this known. Honestly, anyone could picked him up. Although she was doing well there, I began to feel that the focus had shifted too heavily toward competition scores above all else. While success at meets is important, I wanted a gym that also prioritized my daughter's self-esteem, motivation, and -- most importantly -- her love of gymnastics. So, we took some time to explore our options, visiting a few nearby gyms and taking advantage of trial classes. The moment we stepped into Mid Island and met Meghan, the owner, we knew instantly that we had found our new gym home. Meghan's love for children is apparent in everything she does -- from her warm, welcoming demeanor to her flexibility in accommodating her students' busy schedules. The coaching staff at Mid Island shares that same passion. They not only teach the technical skills of gymnastics but also nurture the social and emotional growth of every child. Each coach brings their own unique style and perspective, which gives gymnasts a well-rounded approach to learning new skills.
