I never got a job related to my degree and the school did not do anything to help me get a job. Their Career Center is useless. I have never known anyone who got a paying job through the American University Career Center. The Professors I had were also useless. Many of them teach directly from antiquated text books. They do not teach you any technology of any kind and they never taught us any programs that you would need to know for employment purposes. You take an Economics class and they do not teach you how to use econometric software programs. Their curriculum is something out of the 1960s. This school has had several large scandals over the years with school Presidents. Google Richard Berendzen and you can read about his disgusting behavior. The school would not fire him. He was allowed to keep his job as a professor at the school. Also Google Benjamin Ladner. He was another school President.

She fell in love with this college right away. My son got excepted into the SIS program, school of international study. My daughter will major in psychology. She started school at 4 and was reading at 3.She is still unsure of her law degree she also wants to get but she has plenty of time. I'm so proud that next year I'll have two kids in the same prestigious college with tons of history.

Amazing University…read more The grounds are beautiful with lots of open space. Buildings must be 150 plus year old and revamped on the inside. It's amazing when places in the US keep old buildings like they do in much of the rest of the world instead of ripping them down and rebuilding. Interesting face ... there is a graveyard on site in the school. There is a sign that says, lifelong supporters. I have not spent a lot of time here but it's amazing to walk and run through with lots of history to check out. I think this is a law-only school.

Communication is a major issue--no one answers the phones, making it hard to get help or information. The school would benefit from a stronger presence in DC and more online course options to attract students. You can get from building to building easily and everyone seamed very pleasant. Finding your way about is a bit of a challenge due to it being very new. There were paper signs are up currently waiting for the final ones to be put up. The staff was very helpful and the library was great. It even has a sun deck off the library to get some fresh air when you wish. It looks like my daughter will be coming to this school and the more I have talked about in around DC the more people have praised it.
