Alex was punctual, explained in great detail the prep and work needed which included sealing several cracks on our deck over years of wear and tear, and he provided a very detailed estimate on-site from his car and we set up an appointment for end of March. Alex sent me a text message on Sunday, March 27th to let me know the weather forecast predicted heavy winds and rain on Monday and on Tuesday as well. I had also viewed the 10 day forecast and I was going to contact Alex to postpone the painting. However, he was very organized and we re-scheduled the job for Wednesday, March 30th. He was prompt and on time Wednesday and worked all day repairing cracks and applied the first coat of paint. I could already tell it was looking much better. He came back this morning on time and he applied a second coat of paint. He finished at around 10:30 am and I thanked him for an amazing job well done. Alex is very meticulous and takes great care of the cleanup and he's a very skilled and courteous painter. I highly recommend him for painting!

Our backyard patio stamped concrete surface was looking horrible... a dull, pasty grey mess…read more Contacted Jacob at Rock Star Coatings for an estimate along with a few other companies. Rock Star had the best price of everyone I contacted. I know that often times you get what you pay for but in this case it was money well spent! There were a couple different options on how to do the restain/seal depending on which company you went with. Rock Start starts by spraying a light primer coat and then after it dries they spray a color stain on it. This works really well with stamped concrete as the little differences in texture allow for the stain to pool a little which makes it look like natural stone. Afterwards they apply the sealer which protects everything and gives it a slight gloss look. Once they finished it looked really nice but just wait.... a day or two later the richness of the color really came out. We are very happy with the results and would recommend Jacob & Javier to anyone wanting to liven up their patio floor. Just an FYI... in the pics I uploaded you can barely see a section of our pool deck (which we did not do anything with!). This was very similar to the color of our patio before Rock Star did their magic!
