Definitely some of the best Lebanese food around, and the friendliness of the staff is unmatched.

We opted to share la menu végétarien, and for 15 €, it was almost enough to satisfy! We had to order a second helping of falafel al a carte (includes 5 extra falafel balls) which was then enough for us to feel oh so good. The fixed menu includes hommos, baba ganoush, tabouli, samboussik jebne (which is like a little samosa with cheese inside), fatayer (another samosa type with spinach inside), rakakat jebne (melted cheese inside Lebanese bread), falafel, and mjadara (potatoes and lentils). There was also a rice dish listed, but we didn't get that. You also get an ample side of pita bread! It's a lot of food and it's all perfectly prepared. At the end of the meal they brought us a couple sweet desserts, one corn based doused in honey, and the other a cream-pistachio topped sweet bread. And! A delicious serving of Moroccan mint tea. This was my favorite meal in Marseille, hands down. If it only were closer to where we stayed, we would've returned for another delicious meal. Don't miss out on this place!

This is the best restaurant in Cassis…read more There I said it. Not only will you find the best vegan and vegetarian meals here, you will find some of the best seafood in all of Provence!* During our four nights in Cassis, we ate dinner here four times. It was that good. First off, the menu is humongous, the wine list is endless, and the hosts are the best. The environment is great too as each one of the different areas gives you a different experience. Inside you'll have the AC, but lack of people watching, on the right side you'll be in a more secluded spot in a more narrow street. On the other side, you'll have plenty of people to watch, and cats to pet as they roam in front of their owners house. Anyway, the food was a blast. Having authentic mediterranean/lebanese food was fantastic. The hummus was beyond delicious. If my wife would let me, I would have licked the bowl clean. They also had home made baklava, which was succulent. The wines were mostly from the Cassis region, and paired well with my vegan meal and my wife's pascatarian dishes. On top of it, they had fruit rums (four kinds!!) that the hosts would give out during the desert. Bottomless and delicious, these drinks sealed the night with the aforementioned baklava. I wish every city in Provence had as amazing food as D'une Rive a l'autre had! *A claim by my wife. I cannot confirm this statement with my own taste buds.

The food was so amazing and so refined! The waitress was so nice and attentive (not always the case in France!) The plaza it sits in also hosts a fountain, large shade trees, and a beautiful old church. The outdoor seating is idyllic, and the food excellent. It's nice to get a change from french cuisine, and middle-eastern is so appropriate to the climate and setting. I ordered kebab and it came Lebanese style, with shaved shards of lightly charred meat in a dish, served with a side of rice with fine noodle garnish, pita, and numerous dishes of veggie sides including probably the smoothest, creamiest humus I've ever had. There was also baba ganouj, a ratatouille-like cold stew, some kind of courgette/tahini dish, and tabouli that was delightfully heavy on the fresh tomatoes, garlic and parsley rather than couscous. But the star of the show is something I didn't recognize, but will actively seek out from now on: a fine-chopped red pepper and walnut paste that was just to die for! Read the hidden reviews, too--they seem entirely reliable and accurate to me.

Wife's note - It would be nice if there was also some "bread" with this meal. Decent size chicken, a quarter piece. The meat melted off the bone which my wife loved. I prefer my meat to be a little more hearty. The salad was very plain, think head lettuce and some slivers of carrot. Rice was good, but very minimal. Fries were good. And to wash it all down, a VERY small glass of white wine with two large ice cubes for 5.50 Euros... $6.50 USD for this?!? Basically a sip of wine... And I was actually not going to drink because I knew we were having a GREAT dinner at Une Table au Sud, see other 5 Star Yelp review! Plus LV always gives me champagne. But you know that because you are following. So in summary, that "glass" of wine affected my mood for this lunch. I just got mad at myself for ordering it. Ambiance - Local business and we do our best to support. In the tourist area. Indoor and outdoor seating; see pictures. Clean toilets; see pictures. Service - The male employee was more welcoming than the female one. Unfortunately for us, we got stuck with the female employee. Not sure if they are owners or family...? She just did not seem happy and did not want to be here... Price - 31.50 Euros, $37 USD; I felt overpriced for what we got. Well, we are in a tourist area, so we should expect tourist prices. Owner Comment - Congrats on all your success.
