Our concern was someone would simply spray it and call it good and charge us a lot of money. We simply couldn't be any happier with the work that Fernando did. I'll go through the steps he took and include my thoughts. 1. During his estimate he made sure to learn how the original paint had been applied so he would know what to fix before he started prepping and painting. 2. He made sure the paint was an exact match to what was already on the island. He went to the same company and got the same paint color. It is a perfect match. 3. He was on time and for the day and a half he took to finish the work he focused on the job. 4. He set up a paint station in the garage where he sanded, primed and painted the doors. Inside, he created a tent over the island so no paint would escape and end up on other parts of the kitchen. None did. 5. On the second day, he checked to see how the paint had dried and ended up doing more sanding and painting to ensure a smooth, covered coating on all surfaces. This job could have been done in a day, maybe less, but Fernando wanted to do it right so he planned enough time so he could do it right. 6. We were satisfied with the quote we got from Fernando. More important was that even though he had to take a few more steps and do some rework to get it just right there was never any mention of charging more. 7. Okay, here's the most important part of my review. I researched different painters and selected Just Pros Painting while my wife was out of town. She was still gone when Fernando completed the work. I know, I was working without a net and if the job wasn't done right it might have gotten ugly. Just kidding... kind of. Upon returning, my wife gave the entire job a thumbs up. Phew! Just Pros Painting has my highest recommendation. Note: Fernando is a super nice guy. I thoroughly enjoyed hanging around while he worked.

He was up front with all cost considerations, including worst case scenario issues, so we knew the full best case and worst case range going in to the project (and not surprisingly, we came in somewhere in the middle, the additional costs were all associated to city requirements associated to the permit). The project timeline was great, they made incredible progress on all days where the weather cooperated, and he kept us informed of next steps every step of the way. I couldn't recommend Rusty highly enough. We talked to 4-5 contractors that were happy to do an estimate and let us figure everything else out, Rusty provided the above and beyond service that we absolutely had to have just to get the project started. And left the side open to neighbors for 2 days. Did not haul off all the old posts. Had asked them to use screws (multiple times and was assured they would) when putting the panels back on - they used a nail gun mostly and some of the panels are already falling off (it has been only a couple days). They finished after dark, so I stupidly was unable to inspect a final time. I emailed them and asked them to come back, but they are not responding.
