His attention to detail and knowledge of deck building is superior. All the joints are tight, the screws (no nails) evenly spaced and everything is plumb and level. These may seem like little details but it all adds to a beautiful finished product. As a home inspector I see many decks with undersized posts, poor support and inferior products which are used to saving on material costs. Aidan's construction techniques are rock solid which is important since the upper level is 17 feet high. I am pretty sure this deck will outlast me. Aidan also recommended some features I had not considered such as a rain catchment system so we can now sit on the lower deck during and enjoy the rain. He also installed a stainless steel cable rail which allows an unobstructed view of the back yard and green belt. You may be able to find a cheaper deck builder who will slap up some boards onto the back of your house but I pretty sure you will not find who builds a better deck.

We had a tree trimming project that required tall ladders and tree climbing. Marco is very good about communicating via phone/text and responded in a timely fashion to my text questions. He also confirmed the appointment ahead of time. He was willing to drive 1.5 hours to work on my project. Marco and his crew used safety harness/fall retractor when working on high limbs. He is very mindful of the safety of his crew. The wind was too high to safely cut the high limbs the first day so they worked on lower limbs and came back the next day for the high limbs. Marco and his crew came back until the job was done to our satisfaction. He confirmed which limbs were getting cut to make sure he was cutting the ones we wanted. They did a great job of cleaning up after themselves, trash/limbs/branches were all removed and hauled off. They were respectful of the property. I will hire Marco again for future tree trimming needs. He gave me a recommendation for a roofer and I plan on hiring them based on Marco's recommendation.

About 5 months ago I had tried to get an estimate for my fence as it started to sag, but the fencing companies would either, not come out and look at it, would come out but never sent me a quote or just never answered my calls or emails. So now it is March 2016, and after a strong wind storm, the one side of my fence blew down. Sent a search through Thumbtack and Ramos was one of the ones to answer. Let me list why he was such a great choice for doing my fence: 1. I made an appointment for him to come to home at noon to get an estimate. I work 25 minutes from home so I gave myself 45 minutes to drive home to meet him. Well wouldn't you know they closed all the lanes of north bound I-35 for a funeral!!! So I was 40 minutes late driving to my house. And guess what...He waited for me to get there!!! 2. He looked and measured...and gave me an estimate on the spot. This was a solid quote...there was to be no changes to this at any time. He was hundreds of dollars cheaper that the cheapest estimate I had received months before and at this time. 3. He showed up the day and time he promised and got the fence up in one day. He did come back the next day to install the rest of the screws and to do my gate (This is a big deal because my neighbors have a dog that hates me, so I was glad to have the fence up in one day). 4. I asked to have the gate opener to be installed only visible from the back yard. (Two other fence people argued with me about this, said they know better or I won't like etc.). No arguments, said he would do it for me. I figured I would always have to go outside the backyard door to open the gate, but Ramos installed it in such a way, I can reach over the gate to open it from the front yard and no one else would even know the latch is there. I feel so much safer at night alone because of this! (I bought the latch myself ) 5. I had bought a money order to pay for both the right side of the fence and was having him do the left side also. He asked if he could come back to do the left side in a few days because the previous week's rain had put him behind on another job. The money order was for the whole job so I gave it to him that day 6. Sure enough, Ramos again came back on the day he promised and finished the left side of the fence. 7. UPDATE-They have responded and said they will come back to screw in panels. I will update this…read morereview when they do. They did "finish" the project - replacing 21 posts that had rotted. Told me it would take one day it took 5 days (weather was not an issue). Tore down 2 sides of fence and had a mess everywhere - even in the neighbor's yard (see pic - I was worried that someone would get hurt with the exposed nails.) And left the side open to neighbors for 2 days. Did not haul off all the old posts. Had asked them to use screws (multiple times and was assured they would) when putting the panels back on - they used a nail gun mostly and some of the panels are already falling off (it has been only a couple days). They finished after dark, so I stupidly was unable to inspect a final time. I emailed them and asked them to come back, but they are not responding.
